There is another trick. use the taun of sun fac at the end of the round. When the round is over he loses his taunt and then all others get the buffs at the start of the next round!

Calling Poggle to assist with Soldier could help as well as he'll then attack twice so double the chance of an ability block
Very good tip! Particularly if you have some bad rng and fail to land ability block in the big flurries 👍
I'll always call poggle for that reason. I don't really care about big damage from calling brute since the enemies hit like wet noodles when they're ability blocked

You can use the droid factory ability even when Brute is up. It won't call the rocket trooper but it will remove all enemy buffs and give Seperatist allies 50% turn meter.
Oh nice little trick to make things even easier then. Could be handy at the end of wave 3 to get a good headstart in wave 4

So watching this and then implementing some of these tips helped me get this done. Our guild of course has been getting much stronger over the last year so we are definitely at the point we're getting Wat shards now. Having the platoons filled goes a long ways. That said, I managed this with G11/G12 Geos which really surprised me. I did a lot of mod moving which was able to help a lot and close the gap . I was excited to have gotten it completed though. The fact that the mods helped this much means a lot.
Great stuff mate. Yeah my brother is doing it with even weaker Bugs than I used. You have a little more rng but overall it's very doable with G11

1 Placement: Soldier 3rd or 4th spot. Poggle in 5th slot.
2 Ability Block on AoE's (Sergeant) & Sharp Shooters.
3 Take out Medic right away.
4 Take out Barriss right away.
5 Spy can also take toons out of Stealth. ('Illicit Intel')
6 Use Basics to finish out rounds.
7 Ability Blocks on ARC Troopers as well.
8 Ability Block Mundi & Windu. Kill after Medic.
9 Use Blind on Jedi if no Ability Block.
10 Leave Ponds for last.

I know I’m like 4 months late on this, but another recommendation I would make, is to finish round 2 and 3 with calling the droid. Even though he doesn’t appear (as long as you have Brute on the field) you will receive 50% tm, so you will start the next round with high tm on your entire team ;)
I actually do that on P3 quite a bit these days haha :)
Nice video mate, I shared it with my guild and definetly helped. One little suggestion with soldier: don’t mod him with potency, tenacity down can’t be resisted. Crit chance and offense do the trick.
I was always unsure on if it could be or not. Never got a straight answer from CG lol. In that case of mod 6x Crit Chance to maximise the amount of turn meter he gets everytime he crits :) that's what I mentioned I was planning to do aswell, as I'm sure my mods on him are from early 2017 😂
DBofficial125 x6 crit chance is also a good choice. A CC and a CD or offense sets are the standard if you have good CC secondaries. A quick tip to check out the tenacity down mechanic is to do hk bombs against padme, you will note that even if they have prot up the tenacity down sticks, even when they resist all debuffs.
Just wanted to give you a huge shout out bro, your video was a huge help just as the Malak video was. I ended up taking my GBA and Spy to R4 just to have them viable in GAC and I didn't have enough omegas to put on all my toons so I figured taking them up to relic was playing it safe. Again, just wanted to give you major props for the video and all of the content you put out to help out the SWGOH community! Keep up the great work brother!
Not sure how big a change it will make, but you want soldier in the 3rd slot.
GBA, Sun Fac, Soldier, Spy, Poggle
Yeah it doesn't make a difference in my testing. I've heard some talk about how it'll remove foresight so the enemy can't avoid tenacity down, but it doesn't as Spy's basic can't be evaded, so it doesn't remove it and the extra benefit is only given to Spy in his next turn anyway. The only key ones are Fac second and Poggle last.
On point. I only had my Brute alpha g12 and my bugz completed the mission

I'm lucky very deep sleeper didn't wake up once, my poor girlfriend is a very light sleeper, she was up like every other hour and when she is in a bad mood she stops talking so no grief. It was the most peaceful year and a half of my life. My Gf works days I work evenings teaching (I work in Thailand) when I work its 6-8 in the week and all day weekend. I look after her in the day time play abit then put her in front of the TV watching cosmos on repeat ( she loves watching it) I think its just all the different colours, but don't care she's quiet. Anyway enjoy it mate having a kid is amazing,, in my case probably more so for me than my GF
Haha bless your girlfriend, sounds a lot like Tali. She wakes easily and I don't. Dom also usually associates her with feeding time and is very fussy when I try. I largely just take night duty, watching over the family while everyone sleeps as I'm a night owl anyway haha

You know it's cool when you have Soldier do the third ability and select spy and then have spy do his middle ability that works great it crushes them

Spot on mate! He's awesome and will open up a lot of new counter options for you
Problem is if you enter last phase with low TM on your team, then Sargent pushes it further back on aoe, phonds slows and your in big trouble, possibly a dead bug/s till you get going. Also poggles ability block is liability, CG should just change it to 100% to avoid TB frustrations(atm its 80% chance to apply with 15% chance to be resisted even with tenacity down). That bein said g12 should be fine, ~95% of the time
Use the B1 ability at the end of wave 3 (try to time it so the assists kill the last enemy). You'll have a lot more TM heading into wave 4.
As Keydash said, press the B2 Rocket buff even with Brute alive and it fills your tm up a ton ;)

Yeah he can appear in either. It's the same strategy though. Same priority toons to block and kill. I faced Mace in 3 this time too :)
Much respect for this one bro. I managed to clear 3 waves and nearly the 4th with my woefully undergeared bugs. Next time around I'll clear i'm pretty sure. I'm poor as fuck right now, but once I have some extra I'll try and tip you somehow.
haha no worries mate, glad the strategy has shown you some hope. My brother managed with a very low gear Brood and we've had some others succeed regularly with full G11. Keep building and get those shards ;)

One problem with lower gear bugs is if you draw Anakin in wave 4. If he gets AoE off before you can ability block, you probably lose Soldier, Spy, and Poggle. Even if you do land AB, GK taunts and GK/Padme cleanses make it hard to keep ability block. But Anakin only comes up a fraction of the time.
with near full tm going in, Poggle called by Soldier and good potency, you're almost 100% likely to be safe. Just depends if people remember to monitor tm going into wave 4

Oh its not fun but thats why you gotta keep specific moves available. I never play Brood's revival special so if Mace slaps Brute, I just rez right away.

This video was fabulous and I also learned a lot in the comments, so thank you all for that. The only thing I kind of disagree with is that I like having my Geo Brood relic’d, because it increases his health and protection as well as that of the Brute, making it harder to kill them both. It also helps increase the shared health pool of the entire Geo team. But I get the point you make, you don’t have to do this.
You're welcome mate :) Yeah OPTIMAL would be so powerful that strategy barely matters, but people tend to come to me for minimal gear/slow mods related guides, as I'm the only big F2P creator. I'd love a relic Brood and Spy myself but I just can't put them ahead of GL requirements and other top toons atm unless I win the lottery haha
:( :( Following your advice I got wrecked with a R4 GBA, G12.5 on all other Geos, and GOD MODS!!! Seriously, +178 speed on GBA, insane damage on Spy, etc. You said to ignore Ponds over and over and saved him for last. Turned out, he wrecked me in 1 hit. His AoE dazed my whole squad and flat out killed 2 who were at full health and still had protection. You really might want to revise that "ignore ponds" position.
Ponds doesn't have a daze aoe, ARC does who is priority #1. I think you may have messed up mate.

No worries mate. Yeah always be super careful as ARC is a Bug killer for sure. His kit is literally anti-Geonosian and MUST be ability blocked. Sarge is a secondary issue do to the aoe weakening the health recovery pool (hence ability blocking him) and then the one that stealth has Armor Shred which really hurts Brute's survivability

Biggest mistake I see people making is using a speed arrow on Spy. He doesn’t need it, 35% Tm every time an ally lands a debuff. Offense instead
Thats a good shout, my Bugs are largely still modded the way they were before their reworks, definitely going to have a look at fine tuning them this week.

I had similar mods all G12 I lost one geo before I even got my first turn. I’ll have to double check my mods again but pretty sure they were pretty close to the same as your video.
Weirdly on my most recent run the AI got several turns before I moved too, never happened before so was a little thrown by that myself. Possible stealth buff to the mission?

Got this recommendation just AFTER i did this mission, got defeated at stage 3 but will definitly do this for next one. Remodded and ready, also went with CC sets on soldier because of the awesome tm gain. Don't have quite the offence on sun fac though, how important is it or can it be done without?

Just pure rng, thats Poggle failing to trigger his 80% to land it. I seemingly get it a lot on Mace lol
Excuse my ignorance as I have probably missed something vital in the kits but can I ask, why are you only using basics ?
The basics are the keys to their kits. Basics heal Bugs protection aswell as being the key moves. Brood & Fac remove enemy buffs, Poggle ability blocks, Soldier inflicts tenacity down so Poggle doesn't need potency, and lastly Spy's gives crit chance for more tm AND can't be evaded. You very rarely need the specials

Are the bugs really not a staple on many rosters for GAC here in late May, 2020 (2 mos after this vid)? In 3v3, they're certainly a load as even JKRs may be beaten by them, and Padme's will timeout, etc. 🤷♂️
Shockingly many people ignored them, despite being required by most decent guilds
Tl;dr just make sure every enemy is ability blocked

All my geos are the same gear as yours but mine have just +30 speed.
Actually i did the wat tambor mission and failed in wave 3! Just now! With better mods than you have! Every move i made was in the direct order as you did. The key is the Hellfire tank! That you didn't mantion in the vid... If you don't have a LEVEL 3 hellfire tank, this is mission is screwd UP! In case we have only Level 2 hellfire, and my Geos are much more gear-ed up than yours, you definetly needs Relics or without relics at least the minimum the LVL3 hellfire tank thats the FUNDAMENTUM of all!
That's honestly not needed. You can use it to open a battle get tenacity down and make it easier to stick Ability Block, but Soldier sticks Tenacity down anyway so I rarely use it. What exactly went wrong for you? All your ability blocks were sticking right? Copying my turn order won't matter if the purpose of those moves isn't sticking. My 5th division guild in my alliance doesn't fill Hellfire and has guys with G10 Brood beating the mission

Same here. I completed it in Feb but lost P1 in both Mar and Apr. They took an insane amount of turns before I got a chance. I do need to gear up a bit but it seems like CG may have buffed up the mission a bit.

Welp. I tried this and then RNG gave me Shaak Ti and Luminari at the end. Shaak dispelled the taunt and then Luminari somehow 1 shot my G13 poggle. Game over. :(

First thing i noticed was that there were no bariss in second encounter. Then Mace was in third and last were shaak and luminara. All backed up by arc/sharpshooter/medic and all the other usual clones. But no KAM whatsoever

If you summon B1, you can't summon Brute. But if Brute is already there, it's worth using the B1 ability to finish off wave 3 - it gives the team a TM bump heading into wave 4.

@@brian7333 If you have the droid factory platoon at level 2, the summon droid ability also gives +50% TM to separatists (at level 3, you also get droid allies reset their cooldowns). The idea is to use it while Brute is there. You won't get a droid, but you do get the TM bump. If you use it to end a phase, you're near guaranteed to go first next phase.

Yeah his special hits like a damn truck. Usually a dazed Brute is the reason for losing taunt.

This video is out of date. There are totally different enemies in the Wat mission now.
It's not, there are two versions of Wave 3 and 4, smashes both. The only real difference is Mace in Wave 3 (easier) or 4 (the harder but still done with G9 Brood and 11-12 Bugs every run by my brother)
Quite a few tweaks that need to be done. Not a single Sun Fac taunt. Your spy 'big hit' you seem to forget that is a buff and debuff cleanse for your enemy. Spy cleansing those taunts with his big hit make him a tank killer. More often than not you want call the assist for poggle's cleanse on Spy>Soldier>Alpha>SF.
It's not that I'm forgetting at all, I use them as my arena squad on an alt and play them very differently, it's that none of that is remotely needed in this special mission. In fact a Fac taunt at 12.0 is a HUGE risk and often leads to him dying and reducing the overall health equalization. Calling Spy over Poggle for more damage instead of more Ability Block is ideal to speed up kills as long as the key toons are blocked. And waiting around for toons to be loaded up for Spy is pointless if they're shutdown and easy to kill anyway. No need to take any risks when underpowered as things can and will turn on their heads.
I did mention using Poggle to remove debuffs can be handy in a comment below, I believe I do it in a later wave. It's just not needed in the first 2 really,you're not gonna die there so don't waste time.

I was sceptical too, until I filmed in 120 fps and watched it back 1 frame at a time. The game does appear to register the attacks (as seen by buff loss and debuffs) in the exact order. Spy and Soldier don't matter though. I believe CG confirmed its coded that way too right?
@@DBofficial125 if you mean in the Q&A they wrote that its more complicated to explain, so they dont want us know what else makes the different. Maybe they dont have any clue too like us 😅
