I’m one of the Bengals fans that won’t make excuses. We lost that game bc our offense didn’t put the game away after multiple chances. On top of that it was bad defense on that 4th & 16. But I’m glad we look competitive again! Best rivalry in football and always an entertaining matchup

It was a good game, the only part that bugged me was Chase acting like a spoiled child. You can’t yell at the refs and try to intimidate them. Lucky they didn’t eject him from the game.
I imagine he's pissed off that he didn't sign his contract and could have been injured on an uncalled hip-drop tackle. Seriously, why make the rule to ignore it?
It wasn’t a hip drop; he tackled him by the shoulder pads. Did you watch it? He’s mad because he’s been locked down and hasn’t been targeted when he was open. Watch him not have the same stats this year and not deserve to be paid like the best when his contract is up. They are playing with him like he was playing with them. Sure, it’s a business at the end of the day, but that comes with sacrifices. Nobody respects Chase, especially Tee Higgins.

Yeah, if you want to point to one spot that cost us the game, that was it. The Bengals need to trade him at the end of this season. Iosavis seems to be able to do the job. The Chiefs keep making it back to the top without Tyreek. Chase has become a liability. He didn't even end up top 10 in yards last year, and yet he wants #1 pay. Time to move on.

It's literally PI per Rule 8, Section 5, Article 2 of the NFL rules. If you don't want the penalty, don't commit it. It's really that easy. And to anyone saying the refs help the chiefs, please explain to me how the chiefs have the most offensive penalty yards assigned to them of any team in the league in the last 6 season, and the second worst penalty differential of all 32 teams in the same time frame, with only the Saints having a worse differential.

Then there was the pass interference called on McDuffie that wasn't pass interference, because when Chase tripped over his own feet, the he started to fall he grabbed McDuffie's jersey and pulled him down with him to make it look like pass interference!!!
And the no call on taylor Britt against Rice that was clearly pass interference as well. The narrative that the refs help the Chiefs is just lazy and unfounded. It's basically become a coping mechanism for losers, and something to say without having any idea why they're saying it.
Doesn't surprise me with the Bengals, remember in the Superbowl when Higgins pulled Jalen Ramsey down by his facemask and nothing happened. Same exact thing 😆

KC was flagged into FG range, they didn't come back, they didn't dominate. Bengals out played them until the Bengals played themselves.
There shouldn't be any swooning about Worthy being fast or Mahomes being magical, no fawning over how good KC is. They got an ugly win, that's about it.

Mahomes was down to a 4th and 16 for the game and he made an amazing play to scramble out of the pocket and hit Rice with a great ball. Had Rice not been hit, it would have been a 1st down catch. It was definitely an ugly win, but Mahomes put them in that position with his "magic". And to emphasize how amazing Mahomes is... I believe that was the 20th 4th quarter comeback win of his career (reg & post season combined).

As a Chiefs fan the Bengals absolutely lost that game. The Chiefs got lucky asf. Mahomes had probably the worst game of his career but the Bengals made the mistakes that gave us this win.

The PAT had zero impact on the game. Had he made it, KC would have had no reason to go for 2. They would have kicked their PAT. Final score would have been 27-26.

Peter is full of it. They won because the Bengals' penalties were slightly worse than the Chiefs' many penalties (remember Kelce's 50 yard catch call back? Rice's 40?). Chiefs O-line was much owrse than Bengals new O-line. Burrow had lots of time, Mahomes ran more yard dodging Bengasl than Pacheco.

@TripleG12398, Bengals could have had double the penalties had the Refs not ignored to call the blatant penalties through out the game.. Refs missed some crucial penalties against Bengals that kept the game close.
I just love all the comments about how Burrow outplayed Mahomes. Mahomes is overrated and such. I remember an Alex Smith led Chiefs squad beat down Tom Brady and the Patriots in Arrowhead 44 to 14. Not for a second did it cross my mind that Tom Brady was washed up. Just one of those days. At the end of the day, Patrick has the hardware. And if he retired today, he would be heading straight for the Hall of Fame.

Honestly, at this point, Mayfield and Carr are playing better than Burrow. yes it was a penalty, but if they gonna call that they also have to call the holding call on the chiefs rt, that had ossai in a chokehold on the same play as the Pi call.
Chris Jones was also held pretty much every play. Why wasn't that called? Holding doesn't get called way more often than it does. You get spun around and put in a chokehold, they likely won't call holding. Instead, you just lost hard. I've rarely seen a holding call for someone getting put in a chokehold unless the player used his hands on the facemask to do so.
Burroughs shouldn't feel too bad for keeping within one point of the Superbowl champs.
The Bengals made a few key mistakes that cost them the game. With that said, Trey Hendrickson was in a choke hold on the same play that they called the pass interference, as he was many times during the game and it was only called twice.
Burrow is total class. Frustrated as I've ever been.

I think it’s really rich to not call out the PI and not talk about the clear hold on the same play by number 74. It was clear and that’s why people think what they think about KC. It was 2 holds on the same play that wasn’t called. Yes it was PI but it was also a hold 2 of them.

How was that a hail mary? It was to a single player, the defender was out of position and rushed to beat the ball and in fact was a little too early and jumped on Rice's back. It was probably around a 20 yard pass, not nearly long enough to call it a hail mary.

This is like the 13th game the chiefs got bailed out by the refs. They like to mask the penalties with bs ticky tack calls after the damage is already done so u look at the stats and go "see, they got penalized too" when it didn't matter or have a huge turn in the game. Had nothing to do with the bungles not capilizing on 3 extra possessions or missing a PAT, or going 3 and out on your final drive, or fumbling the ball, or taking advantage of the refs calling back all of KCs big plays to even keep the bungles in the game. Call it lucky, you can even call it voodoo, but the Chiefs won that game fair and square based off their experience and composure. I’m a Chiefs fan and think the Bengals outplayed the Chiefs for majority of the game. But those little moments like Jamar losing his cool over a legit tackle, and the clear DPI, the burrow fumble late, all cost them the game. You cannot be undisciplined when playing the Chiefs because if you give them enough chances, chances they’ll capitalize eventually.

Maybe don't commit penalties in the last moments? Also, holding calls just don't happen all that much. Jones got held basically every play as well and it didn't get called because it's got to be crazy egregious to be called. Heck, even if someone got suplexed and pinned, it probably wouldn't be holding.

It was NOT the PI call that the refs cheated cause it was definitely the good call, But the WHOLE game they were calling bs calls on Cincinnati and they were overlooking obvious calls on the Chiefs. The Bengals Trey Hendrickson had 2 sacks and would have had more if he wasn’t held on literally almost every play but they never called it. Had they made them Holding calls on the Chiefs the game would have looked different cause the players would have had to block different. Just saying the Refs do help the Chiefs in many ways. The Bengals will be ok moving forward though I bet it.
Jones was getting held just as much without it being called. Plus the DPI called on McDuffie where Chase fell and pulled McDuffie down. Holding rarely gets called with how much it actually happens. Maybe it gets made a point of emphasis next year. If it does, everyone will whine about how weak the calls are when they're all begging for it when the Chiefs do it.
The same can be said if you put the shoe on the other foot. Chase pulled McDuffie to the ground, yet McDuffie got called for DPI. An obvious offsides against the Bengals wasn't called, Jones and Karloftis were being held all game...I can keep going, but no need. My point has been made.

As a chiefs fan... do they have bias for the chiefs? Probably. But they also completely ignored another pass interference call earlier in the game that was just as obvious where the defender defended through the receiver. So... I think they do their best but we all hate the refs when we lose.
it is absolutely RIDICULOUS to say mahomes made a play to win the game. Dude threw 3 pics and was a complete non factor in this win. tyrod taylor could have done what he did. Burrow outplayed mahomes yet again, making that 5 games in a row in their head/head matchups. I don't have a problem with the 'PI' call; however, it should have been offset with the BLATANT holding that took place in the middle of the line as mahomes was moving to throw. The game should never come down to a ref's call and yet again it does in this rivalry. Calling that PI was fine BUT what about the TD pass burrow to irwin that bounced off his facemask b/c the chiefs db was tackling him while the ball was in the air and pulled his arms down preventing him from be able to catch it? I like the chiefs, mahomes is a very good....i just can't stand the massive overhype and praise he gets. Its nauseating.
When you win 2 maps and 3 super bowl titles, I think you are entitled to some praise. Stop being a hater. Yeah, Mahomes had a down game, but so what? He has still accomplished more in his short career than perhaps any other QB in history in the same time frame, has had countless unbelievable plays, playoff wins, etc. You just sound silly and jealous.

all the crying, good teams find a way to win.! Likke last year when everyone said the Chiefs had to go on the road to win- well what they didn't say was the previous years they were winning and playing at home! That's not their fault it was the format. To beat the Chiefs you have to play your very best game every play and not make mistakes and capitalize on Chiefs miscues period!!
