It is so nice to watch a singing show that isn't a competition. That's all we seem to get here in the US.
I have got to say that this statement is 100 percent correct.
For your information, this is the 12th season of this tv show. Soy you can check with the following names. In the beginning the title was De Beste Zangers van Nederland. Then they changed the format a bit, so from that moment on no partners or managers are accompanying the artists. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and with respect for each other's music style and you get this as a result. Tip: Last year an female operasinger did the Eminem rap Lose yourself and year before female operasinger and Male musical artist did the duet of Barcelona. And all those previous shows got some amazing surprises as well. Enjoy it.
Same here in the UK. This show is a breath of fresh air. I don't even understand the language but each singer is superb at bringing the tears on and delivering superb vocals. Thank god no sign of Simon Cowell anywhere.
One of the best if not even the best music show in the world. Nice to see a show concept that is not about tearing each other down or always having to be better than others, but to raise them up. I learned about it through Floor but this show exposed me to so many other great artists. Well done Netherlands.

Goodmorning, this show is now in his 10th season. In the beginning the name was De Beste Zangers van Nederland, but after a few seasons they changed the format. carpe diem you should check out the Belgian variant called Liefde Voor Muziek. Sharon Den Adel (Within Temptation) took part in that one 2 seasons. That show is quality wise even better then this one because the artists are challenged to really create original versions of the songs they sing.

IndigoNeutrino Thats because they are locked up with eachother on the island of Ibiza for a short week and they get to know eachother realy well and share emotions. No family or managers...just the artists and band.

I always feel that music is so much more than just the language because we can understand the emotion in it even if we don’t understand the words, and Samantha is so good at expressing those feelings. This show is so good too, just the general vibe and lack of competition. I’m very happy that Floor was included so that more people can discover this.
The same for me, she's a wonderful singer. I think they all did get a vider audience than they probably never thought they would.
this is why the show is designed the way it is, non competitive. To promote the best singers and expose people to their music in a fun way ;)
In the first show, Henk Poort made a statement: Music is good when music is good. And this show is the proof of that statement. For 10 years ( This the 10th season, in the beginning was the name: De Beste Zangers van Nederland) Enjoy. But it is not the 10th but already the 12th season of this show. And everytime a big surprise.

Such diverse and incredible artists they all have such incredible voices and there passion for there craft is to be commended finally a show that is made for the artists and not about a competition. This was the first time that I watched a music show and I liked all the singers... I stumbled upon Beste Zangers because of Floor... It is indeed heartwarming to see such great singers that are passionate about their own genres and sing with their hearts out without the pressure of singing just to be on top of one another... I like Samantha, Henk, Tim, Rolf, Emma and Ruben... I just wish the whole episode was uploaded (of course with english subtitle)... that way, us that are not from the Netherlands could understand what this show is all about...
The first two episodes ARE up fully.They just upload the full episodes about two weeks after air... I think. Also, being stateside as well, I just turn on the CC, pick the dutch choice and then "auto translate", select english and it worked!

Hebk is is one of Floor's singing heroes (He is an Opera, Operetta and Musical star/actor) because when she was young she loved him singing in the dutch version of "Phantom of The Opera🐱👤😎👍
