Randle gives them more firepower in the frontcourt to compete with Minnesota and he also gives their team a huge scoring boost. They also just traded for Caruso so they don't have as big of a need to keep Dort. Also, by trading away Giddey, it makes them more a half court style offense and Randle fits into that style more. Also, Randle is a huge rebounding upgrade to Williams as well as a scoring upgrade.
