Good old Steve Wilson! Great to see and hear his voice. Steve used to tech my amps when I lived in Louisville in the 90s. It's good to see he's got a bit more room in his studio. At his house there used to be a path from his front door to his amp room where he'd work. I have to carry my super reverb at chest height to make it through the living room, around the kitchen table and down the hall to his shop. All those decanters, figurines, and other the memorabilia were everywhere. Always and ace of a person. Always great to hear Greg playing. I was lucky enough to play a set with him at a MERF benefit where he had this 58. I swear to god it sound like someone was playing samples off an Allman Brothers record every time he'd play a lick into a small box 50 watt marshall in a 2x12 fender cabinet. Guitar, cable, amp, speaker. Awesome tone. It's good to hear he's thinking about liquidating. My dad was a hoarder and when they go it's a huge task to deal with everything they couldn't take with them.
haha! this is freaky, thats how my house was in the early nineties. i mean it. a narrow path through the living room because of all of the amps etc. finally my brother set a cup of coffee on top of my mint tweed princeton.....i had to make other acommodations

Brad, Watching this video of you with Greg Martin was a lot of fun. Got to see the Headhunters play a venue here about 3 miles from my house back in the summer of 2019. Towards the end of their playing the skies broke open, pouring the rain and thunder in the distance. But, the band played on. Great musicians.
I remember hearing the story of this guitar. Hank Jr lent it to Greg and when Greg went to return it he told Hank how much he liked it and Hank told him to “just keep it.“
Wow, both you guys are great players and that collection is just 🔥 as the kids would say 😅. I’m friends with Jimmy Vaughan and I’ve seen some insane SRV stuff at the house in Henly TX.

LOL as soon as you gave Greg the guitar you knew you were never getting it back. Some great sounds coming from that thing. And he makes it look so easy. Economical playing and just sounded so sweet. When he setup the "Woman Tone" I got shivers from that it was so good. And I bet you were nervous. Not only holding a guitar worth more than most people's houses, but surrounded by those two old dogs who have seen and done it all. I'd be nervous too. Great video!
never stop Brad and never give in to popular PC opinions, your voice is just as important as that of everyone else just not as strident or desperate, rock on
It’s like a beefy tele sound. That’s what is hard to find in new Les Pauls. That low output pickup that’s highly microphonic and just screams. Sounds so good.
Bridge pickup sounds as killer as you would expect but surprisingly nice neck position clarity on this guitar also. A real old fashioned tone belting machine!
great video, Greg Martin is fantastic, I had an instructional VHS of Greg that came out in the early 90s, not sure what happened to that tape, but I am sure that this is the Les Paul he was using in that video, you're fortunate to be there and play this amazing axe! Thanks for sharing!
