Hi Peter…..if I was to purchase cordoba wheels and fitted the 350 x 8 tyres on then would they fit directly on to the back of my shop rider scooter or would I need to purchase different hubs?…..also….bit confused I all so want to bring back wheels out a bit did you purchase the spacers you used or did you make them? Many thanks for any advise you can give…Dave..
HI DAVE. IS IT A SHOPRIDER CORDOBA THAT YOU HAVE BOUGHT. IF SO THEN ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS PUT 35O X 8 TYRES ON AND THEN ALL YOU NEED IS TO PUT SPACERS ON TO WIDEN THE BACK. I HAD THE SPACERS MADE AND THEY WERE ONLY £5 EACH ABOUT 10MM THICK SO YOU COULD PUT 1 2 OR 3 SPACERS ON TO WIDEN THE BACK AXLE. I GOT THEM DONE ON A LASER CUTTING MACHINE. BY PUTTING THE 350 X 8 TYRES ON IT DOES MAKE THE SCOOTER GO A BIT FASTER. IF YOU WATCH THE VIDEO I PUT ON WITH THE ARMY JEEP YOU CAN SEE IT GOOD IN ACTION. THE OLD TYPE OF SHOPRIDER AXLE HUBS ARE BETTER THAN THE NEW TYPE AS YOU CAN PUT CORDOBA WHEELS EVEN ON A SHOPRIDER SOVEREIGN. YOU COULD GET AWAY WITH PLYWOOD SPACERS. ITS A SHAME THAT YOU ARE SO FAR AWAY FROM ME. ALL THE BEST PETER.
@@p..chittenden9174 hi Peter….thanks for quick reply….Peter I didn’t realise you had so many tutorials all the questions iv asked you are all ready answers…lol..so m going to watch all that you have put up before I ask any more questions…promise lol…the scooter iv got a moment says shop rider on the back I’m not sure if it’s a cordoba……but the wheels on it are bigger then the other scooters iv seen…..my plan of action is to get all my parts together before I start…iv just this night purchased a Franke sink from eBay only a fiver plus postage which I’m thinking was well cheep.been looking at .9 stainless which at the moment is about £75:00…… and alloy profile well all different prices but I get the scooter striped down first..I’m thinking that battery are going to be dead..because the scooter has been in a shed for over a year…and I’m sure you know the price of batteries for mobility scooters are well expensive…so I’ll get them out it week see if they will take a charge.was looking at pots in Asda to pay there about £20:00 a go so I’m thinking I’ll see if I can fabricate some on my planishing machine….haven’t done them before hopefully won’t be that hard ( says he lol) ok…think that’s it for to day..oh one last question….did you / have you ever tried quod wheels on the back of scoter conversations?…don’t know if you remember I told you I won’t to make a stock car for my boys…mainly out of alloy and stainless…and was thinking the quod tyres would look good em…..🤔 what’s your thoughts? Oh I saw how you made the spacers…with the 2 mm alloy and wood…lol clever man never had thought of that…..if I can’t buy spacers I’ll make them….even I can do that….lol…not sure about making the split wheels and centres you make thoe..lol….night mate good bless….🙏
Hi peter....just a very quick question for you.im now in in receipt of my franke sink which come yesterday ( got a dill off eBay £11:56 delivered) iv also got some stainless bars and a perforated sheet for the grill which I’m starting to make....the question for you today is the sink has got a lip on it....did you cut this off of yours when making the bonnet or did you leave on? @@burgermaster4u2 Hi Dave. YES I HAVE CUT OF THE FLANGE BUT ALSO CUT MORE OFF OF IT WHEN I FITTED THE BONNET TO IT. IT LOOKS BETTER IF THE FRONT SINK IS NOT TO BIG STICKING OUT OF THE FRONT. LOOK AT THE FINISHED CAR AND YOU CAN SEE ROUGHLY WHAT I CUT IT DOWN TO. ALL THE BEST PETER.

AS THE MOBILITY SCOOTER MAXIMUM SPEED IN ENGLAND IS 8 MPH AND I HAVE MADE THESE FOR THE CHILDREN TO DRIVE I HAVE NOT TRIED TO GO OVER THE TOP. THERE ARE 3 WHEEL SCOOTERS ABOUT THAT HAVE GOT A SWITCH ON THEM TO MAKE THEM DO 16 MPH AS WELL AS 8 BECAUSE IN OTHER COUNTRIES YOU ARE ALOUD 16. THE SCOOTER ARE MADE BY GREEN ZONE I THINK. BECAUSE THEY ARE A NEW TYPE MODEL YOU DONT SEE MANY 2nd HAND ONES ABOUT. IF I REALLY WANTED TO PLAY WITH THE MOTOR SPEED I WOULD TRY CONECTING A 12 VOLT BATTERY DIRECTLY JUST TO THE MOTOR AND SEE WHAT IT DOES. THEN 24 VOLTS. I WOULD WIRE UP MY OWN SWITCHES AND PLAY AROUND WITH IT. IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFULL YOU CAN BURN OUT THE CONTROL BOX. A CORDOBA NEW CONTROL BOX IS OVER £400. YOU CAN GET HEAVY DUTY CONTROL BOXES FROM CHINA AS I DO HAVE ONE BUT I HAVE NOT PLAYED AROUND WITH IT. ALL THE BEST PETER.

Isn't there a way to turn off the speed restrictor and really supe up a mobility scooter 🙏
