If you don't want to burn through raw resources quickly, you need to apply limits in your production buildings ( especially the crude workstation, since it has the lowest level of production ). Do that, and you're golden.
Actually I think they all give you more resources but one upgrade is dedicated to resources and gives more, while the others give some sort of bonus along with a smaller increase in resources.
Hey Pravus, loving the longer videos. Quick tip, the third tab of mines lets you spend planks or bricks to add more resources to harvest. Some tools and bricks/planks lets you do it again. Also the harvester's camp is the only way to harvest mushrooms, you had tons of food you couldn't harvest, including the big one.
Hey Pravus! You don't need to remember the Natural resources of each biome you play. Every time you pick a "Building card" you can see to the left of the "Ravens face" there is a small circle; there you can see the resources of the biome. Anyways keep the good work!
tips: you can favor species and increase their resolve by 5. this comes at a cost of lowering other species resolve by 5. could help you save that 1 harpie you lost on 31:06. you can do it by pressing the handshake icon next to the species icons at the top left corner of the screen. also, there is nothing as for too much people. just ramp up your production, so you can make more goods to sell. this tip goes really well with luxury buildings (such as temple, guild house, bath house etc.) because when luxury trader comes, you just buy all luxury items you can, then you have all of them fullfilled without actually producing some of them. really like your videos! thx for the content
You typically gain resolve faster than you lose it, so you can flick favoring to prevent leaving, also if you have beaver and human they have a higher base resolve so they can handle losing 5.
The resolve bonus of service buildings is nice, but so is the passive bonus you get if three people work there (for some you even need fewer). I often build service buildings even though I don't have the goods to activate them
You're better off using the trapper camp to collect eggs over the scavenger if you have lizards because the trapper camp has a meat specialisation while the scavenger doesn't. The lizards only get their meat production bonus if they're working in a meat production building.
This is a great series and there is so much replayability to it. You have played 3 games on this channel and the way you have went about them are all different. I can't wait for you to play more and than increase the difficulty. Lord knows the stress be there but so is the quest for victory!
Hey! Loving the series and I know it’s been a while since your break but I want you to take a second while reading this to breathe and reflect on how many people’s day you brightened with just this one video :)
So, the one thing i would suggest is to not sleep on the ale, biscuits, etc if you don't have wheat, because you can actually make flour and ale with stuff like roots, I believe.
what i love about this game is that you taught you've seen itall but increasing the difficulty does not only make it hard but it also gives a different gameplay.
I wanted to say thanks for these videos. You, and one other TH-camr, convinced me to buy this game, and I'm not sorry I did. This is a terrific little game.
Always take stone bonus at start of map :) I use it to provide a 25% move speed roads from get go around the heart & to sides of the warehouse to speed up the transportation of goods. Also if you start with harpies then it's nice to put one on the firekeeper work & only later change it to human[if there is impatience from glide events or just you nead it more] if there will be some or lizard at the times of nead of that +1 resolve :) . +5 global to transporting from harpy is really useful like it theoretically cuts in half the time your workers spend on transporting goods & they work more efficient as they nead to walk less with more goods on them when they harvest = more time spend on productive work. 35:51 there are those 3 "subpages" for mine & on the 3rd one there are upgrades for it like deeper mine that grant you more resources to the mine but it costs building materials ;)
Im not a specialist in this game but I think you have to work on your settlement setup. Houses need to be build in the range of the hearth so if you dont want to be forced to build another hearth you have to try and build houses around the center. Other buildings, especially those that cannot be moved for free or at all should be placed somewhere further.
I like to keep the factories close to the storage to minimize travel, and build houses as far as possible from the hearth, especially because inhabitants never go home, so travel distance is irrelevant.
Hey, next to your employees tabs there are buttons that allow you to select special treatment for one race at the expense of others. It allowed you to get to level 15 with lizards super early to produce some reputation super early. I don't know if you know about it but it has some tradeoff I have no idea about or if it's something you've been missing. In general harpies and lizards are great races to easily farm reputation early on. As far as I know if one od the races is too low to produce reputation then you can just as weel lower their happiness or whatever that is to give it to other race that could get this way to reputation production zone. I think it's like binary, either you produce reputation or not and it has no other effects unless it goes to 0 and then employees leave.
if u don't want to open groves but don't want also to micromanage all the woodcutters there's a box that you can tick in the woodcutter building (avoid opening ...)
Personally, I prefer the carpenter to the lumber mill. It's not quite so good at planks, but the secondary recepies are more useful, especially tool production.
Hmm...I find it curious that you're struggling with keeping enough logs, as it seems like you had everyone employed (which I assume means you had the full 3 people at each woodcutters camp). About how many planks did you have at the 10 minute mark here? If you're overproducing, it might pay to set build limits; for example, when I build a crude workshop, I set a build limit of 20 for everything until I get a building down and manned that makes a construction material at a better rate. The nice thing about the mine is that what it draws, and how much, is based on how many resource deposits you set it on. Mine's can't be relocated (which makes sense), but they can be upgraded at the + tab. However, as this was pre-update, you'd have needed tools for that first upgrade which you're short on anyway. Honestly, I find cornerstones focused specifically on trade routes to be more trouble than they're worth. Getting standing with other settlements is a pain in the ass because you need a way to get enough packs of provisions to even make the trade, and then you actually need to have the two things a place is asking for that you can spare, so you'll often find yourself trading a little bit with everyone if you can afford to sell at all. I don't think I've managed to get my standing to 2 in any run I've had, and you need to hit 3 to get the bonus. For that hissing machinery you found, to me, that's why it pays to get a rain collector up and running early. Enough dangerous/forbidden glade events have sparkdew as a resource that the investment is often very worth it. Also, if you don't want your woodcutters breaking into glades, there's a checkbox for that in the building. Also, I can tell this video was recorded before the latest update, because that alt trick you noted with woodcutting isn't valid anymore. I believe it's Ctrl now, and holding Alt swaps to the other selection tool (if you have add trees selected, holding Alt now makes it the deselect). For your oil question, you can click on the magnifying glass on the building, which will take you to the atlas/encyclopedia entry, where you can interact with all the recipes it can make. The recipes tab in game only shows you what your current colony can produce. That will also help making better decisions about service buildings, as not only do they fill a consumable need, they all have additional bonus if a number of people are working there, and those bonuses can be really really nice. The bath house, for example, has two bonuses; 1 person working there increases the timer for low resolve desertions, and I believe 3 people increases global production speed by 25%, so even if you don't have the cosmetics to make harpies happy, you can still get those passive perks. Also Pravis...increased crystalized dew production doesn't help your brickyard if no one is working at the brickyard. With how many waterskins you had in excess (and I don't even know why you're producing so much or where you got them from otherwise, you're not using them for anything), I'm surprised you sold only one set. You can sell up to 5 stacks of the requested value if you have the resources and provisions.
"Impatience grows 125% faster" is such an unclear way to put it. Well, it's not unclear but I doubt you get 2.25 times the impatience but 1.25 times instead. At least I hope so.
You were always low on logs... At one point you were at 61 planks, lol, you may want to consider always setting some limit on your jobs in buildings. There may be some exceptions, but I'm not thinking of any right now. Even if you set limits high, I'd say you should set something. Just as a good habit.
If you don't want to burn through raw resources quickly, you need to apply limits in your production buildings ( especially the crude workstation, since it has the lowest level of production ). Do that, and you're golden.
Thanks for this tip. This game has me feeling really stupid.
This long videos are such a treat. Time to just leave it playing in the background while making breakfast.
A threatening treat!
@@samuelbunkly2527 lmao i blame my phone and my lack of coffee
On the mine, there's a tab where you can build upgrades. One upgrade gives you more resources out of it.
Actually I think they all give you more resources but one upgrade is dedicated to resources and gives more, while the others give some sort of bonus along with a smaller increase in resources.

Yes, the other bonuses are faster gathering and auto deliveries to storage (+resources).
Personally I find the longer videos of this series fantastic. I wouldn't mind it if you used the format on some different games as well.
same here

Love the longer videos, this has to be one of my favorite builders since Banished!

Praise Gimli!
Dude the jump cuts are great, really enjoying the vids keep them up. Much respect to you and I hope you have a good day.

Really great series, hope it keeps coming
Love the long format, and love this game. Will be looking forward to seeing more!
Love the longer vids. Even longer would be fine! Love your content overall.

Binge watching these. Definitely going to pick this up it looks really awesome.
Was this before the update? Now you can expand Mines!
Yes, and they have changed alt (and added ctrl) when chopping trees yesterday
his reaction when he notices how happy the humans are 😹
If you dont remember the loctation info just press Esc to see it again.
If you look at the mine; you can extend it by spending tools and lumber. Also setting up another Hearth can lower hostility.
if u don't want to open groves but don't want also to micromanage all the woodcutters there's a box that you can tick in the woodcutter building (avoid opening ...)
The mine has 2 levels in which you can upgrade them to have even more resource deposits. It's the third tab on the building menu.
Looking forward to seeing more of this 😀.
Great video, keep the series up please.
You can dig deeper in the mine by upgrading the dept level on the last tab of the mine🙃😊 makes them go a bit longer
FYI got some tricks from playing this, if you have plantation with ranch its kinda infinite food
Humans made so happy by clothing... I feel like there's some meta-commentary going on there LOL
First time watching you with this game!
If you want building details and recipes you can click the magnifying glass in the building selection.
I hope you enjoying playing this game as much as I enjoy watching the videos!
More of this game plz
don't warry with trimming... leave it over an hour... less work for you = more treat for us ;)
Great work
