I hate how people keep denying that the game isn’t P2W. It is objectively P2W. It doesn’t matter if you can grind for it, if you paid for it then you can completely skip the months of grinding. You literally have access to everything that you ever wanted in the matter of seconds.
The denying also suprises me. Every time you launch Pixel Gun you get a literal full-screen pop-up suggesting you to spend money. Half of the elements on the main menu are some special offers, lootboxes, redirections to the game's store. The whole game is SCREAMING at you to spend REAL money.
My dad is 50 and he plays it to play with me
Pixel Gun 3D is the perfect example of what would happen to Team Fortress 2 if they kept adding random stuff in it like prop hunt.
Now that the game is on Steam, it makes hacking a lot more accessible.
PG3D has to be the most toxic, cringe, and creepy gaming communities out there.
Most of the game nowadays are filled with people who are ages 10-25 and most people over the age of 18 only play it for one of 2 reasons:
-To feel nostaglic
-To create a clan to get children to add their socials and fuel their creepiness.
I played it (kinda still due once in a blue moon) from time to time and during a low mental health time of my life, I did succumb to the p2w side.
Yes the game is 100% p2w. Being p2w quite literally means as it says. You pay money, be better than everyone else because of your gear, and win. The grinding required to actually recieve most things REGARDLESS of the currency is stupid. The battle royale sucks, but isn't really p2w because it's literally a battle royale. A big note to this is the fact about how much you can be rewarded for grinding, still missing the point that you can still pay money to gain an advantage over someone regardless.
Most people in many comments sections will literally say: "This game is not p2w you get free stuff!!!" when none of them realize the time and advantage you can get over someone else.
Think of it this way: Imagine spending 40 hours grinding in the game. You finally get ONE out of like SIX weapons you are looking for and try using it out. Then, someone with like 5 hours who has spent over $300 just destroys you with Tik-Tok + Anime brainrot weapons, basically putting you in your place because you're f2p. I would know since I did succumb to the p2w side.
And the brainrot... PG3D lost the charm it had. It tried so hard to keep up to date with good trends that it literally makes them a Walmart version of themselves. Like most popular anime, tv show, movie, game, etc. The gamemodes are mostly dead except for 3-4 of them due to there being so many.
I have the game on steam and have been playing it again recently and have been actually enjoying it. But no matter what in ANY circumstance will I ever call this game good or even so dare to recommend this game to my friends.

Add on: With how greedy Cubic Games are, there are no signs of stopping what they are doing anytime soon. Which is going to make the game spiral down and down. The game is practically dead, no one cares about the future, and 90% of people who play this much rather play Roblox, Fortnite, or Minecraft.
I hope they sell the game to a less/not greedy owner at some point.
I mean the game isn't completely p2w that forces you to buy with irl money,there are ytbers that make tips how to be better and richer at the game so it's still playable but took some time to be rich
That "took some time to be rich" immidiately erased your whole comment. Cuz it ain't just "some" time. You need to watch ads and play 2-3 hours a day to purchase a good gun or get an event weapon by 1-2 weeks.
That makes the time spent on the game daily 3-4 hours on avarage. For most professional adult gamers that is too much, especially for a mobile game and there are way more rewarding games out there which do the same in less than an hour. Yet they don't get advertised as much and are still super fun. Not too adictive, not too grindy.

Cuz otherwise, the memories you keep with your game become just as blurry as how some other stupid OGs in the community had remembered old pixel gun...it wasn't any better than it is now, okay...but it had the potential to become way better than all other games people keep referring it to....minecraft,cs:go,call of duty...you name it!
Yet they had to target the children instead of listening to the adults that feel bad for current grinders cuz they ain't adding anything new other than more ways to grind than enjoy the thing we've all spent hundreds on, for no reason! New content but no new standard for their balance.
They just make em' broken at first, then nerf them to the ground, to me that's the oldest trick in the book to annoy people out of your game, nothing else!

I would call PG3D “Greed” they can give us free currency not all the times and it doesn’t mean pay = win every match f2p can play that game and enjoy the game

Even though its pretty much a p2w game, i still like playing it, when its not full of hackers and p2w players.
12.5.0 update was the greedest update the game ever had...
You missed a few things. The tone is good but new things being introduced aren't bad, they are new forms of engagement for players. Yes it was extremely P2W before then but things have been changed or removed since so you're talking about removed features. The video lacks detail and a lot was skimmed over. Eckosoldier would be a far better source on the current state of PG3D.
I started in 2021 and been playing since then. You can play up right now legitimately as a F2P and have it work but it takes planning and patience to do so. You also need to learn and understand how the weapon meta works to excel in the game.
You also left out how they changed the clan system which was a major form of engagement for players. A lot of clans retired since clans updated to version 3.0 and obviously a lot of those players have since quit.
Not really is a p2w game, I mean u can watch ads and get free currency, I’m a f2p player and I got with my clan top 3 in the world. Plus I’m lvl 65 in just 4 months for absolute free
