*sigh* I remember playing this game when I was a kid, it was just the idea of being able to explore worlds and build in them.. but that was my drive to play, I was still very into the mechanics even though it didn’t live up to my idea of the game. The only thing I hated (I still do for the genre) was the wait times, it’s like asking people to stop playing for no good reason.

Comment to the nukes and P2W methods.. They don't really get much for the money.. I mean jeah, they destroy your base with 4 nukes.. then you log in, and you can repair you base for FREE with a click and it's done in 15-30 seconds.. meanwhile they wasted 4x200 chips or if they bought it in bundle, 5 Nuke costs 600 chips, which is around 25-30 Euros/Dollars.. So it don't worth for the buyer, the victim just laughs it off, and only the Publisher/Dev/Owner gets something out of it :D

Minecraft dungeon's actual game is REALLY great and interesting imo, such a shame its so short but I do still love dungeons. Dont bother with the dlc (apart from echoing void) tho.

NGL minecraft story mode and dungeons were both success's

Minecraft Dungeons could've easily succeeded if they allowed players to create and make their own dungeons, Campaigns, massive boss battles, and Raids, along with free DLC and Mod support and development tools. instead Mojang fell into the cycle of Cooperate greed and locked the game down so only they can create content for it, and charge even more money for it.

Minecraft Dungeons is the definition of abandoned potential. That game was infinitely updateable and is AMAZING. I would buy every expansion dlc that ever dropped if they kept going. (That isnt seasons)

Recently devs added to the game Magmalot (a forgotten scratched idea of cloning firebit). Just reviving such obscure ideas proves me a new studio really loves this game and tries to grow it back. Awesome

A lot of bad takes IMO. This comment is just my personal opinion and situational assessment aswell: 1. Story mode was trash. Don't get me wrong, I played the game as a child too, but looking back on it, it's just the most cringe-inducing badly-written IP-cashgrab. It would have died sooner or later, even if TellTale would have lived. 2. Earth is just a stupid concept Pokémon GO was an incredibly good idea. It gave people an opportunity to become a Pokémon trainer like in the games, exploring the mystical Kanto region (or rather Frankfurt am Main), whilst catching Pokémon and fighting with other Pokémon trainers. Where do Minecraft's core concepts now fit into that? It would have had a huge popularity spike before dying off withing a month or so - even if it would have been released at peak Pokémon GO hype in 2016 because it just doesn't bring anything to the table, besides Millenial/Gen-Z-bait graphics and IP. And releasing this so long after Pokémon GO's peak just seems like sunk cost fallacy at that point. 3. Dungeons was a really good game As someone who has over 50hrs in the game from before it even fully released, yes, it does get pretty repetitive. But that's just the kind of game that Dungeons is. It wants you to grind on ever-increasing levels of difficulty to have a chance of unlocking a slightly better weapon. More content on release would certainly not have been bad, but the point stands. More confusingly though you critiqued, that "[It forgets] about the fundamental part of Minecraft. In Minecraft you can do everything, yet you are not forced to do anything." What exactly is you're critique here? Minecraft Dungeons is by definition a Dungeon Crawler. Minecraft a Sandbox. Those are completely different types of games. One is by nature the least linear kind of game possible, whilst the other is an action-RPG of sorts. Minecraft Dungeons is just Diablo for kids with the funny block graphics. If you want it to be a Sandbox, just play normal Minecraft. 4. I also don't think Legends killed Dungeons As you yourself said in the video, Dungeons was not meant to be a forever-thing. It was always planned to end at some point. This should definitely have been better communicated (or at all for that matter), but look at it from this perspective: They developed the game longer and added more content than they ever planned to. Now they can either: - Keep the game "alive" on half-assed paid-DLC life support and milk the remaining community for money until the games name is sufficiently dragged through the mud - Or just kill it while people still remember it fondly I personally prefer the latter by a long shot.
