Tampatec do I have to have cable for it to connect I did everything u did and it's not working I have a Samsung galaxy phone and a regular LG tv with both connectors I connected to my tv and then the other to my phone processed to changed the the settings to the one it's plugged in and nothing just says no signal

For a lot of kids who are on a budget or use game machines with direct hookups or would like to try out casting from their phones without buying first, this would be an excellent method. For peoples who failed to connect it, Enable developer option ( check how you enable it on TH-cam, it's easy) then activate usb debugging and voila you can access to your phone..
It seems to me that we are going backwards in technology, 5 years ago I had a LG phone I would connect to my TV via usb, and then I had a BlackBerry that also would connect straight to my TV, now that technology is irrelevant and the manufacturers of mobile phones think it is better for us to buy a extra wire to make a connection to our device's. As I remember the usb wire from your charger is what you would use, now you have to connect two wires on the TV end, HDMI and USB!!! next the will be removing the screens off mobiles, and telling us we have to buy a watch to see who is call. Cant Wait!!!

I still have to get a different TV though because I have a older model of a digital TV and I need to get a different TV but I have an early actually checked out what's in back of my TV that I have because the one I have now is not a flat screen.
It worked perfect for me! I set up my netflix on my cellphone and works beautiful, I also tried a few movie sites they all worked. Im using a Sony Xperia (android).

First thing you should have mentioned "PHONE HAVE TO BE MHL OR SLIMPORT ENABLED" on top of the description. Most of these type of videos are making same mistakes by not mentioning the reality factor at the beginning of the videos or headlines.

allaboutgames gaming 2 you need to set up your usb settings...find usb debugging in your phone..to find that you must check on Google were is your usb debugging your phone
Nick Foles go on Google and find how to reach to usb debugging you need first to unlock developer settings on your phone you will find in Google everything...I give you an advise after you do it make sure you don't let android to make upgrade because if you do your not able to use anymore...let me know when you done

It doesent need to be hdmi3. It is just the port that he used. So if you only have one or two ports, it Will probably say HDMI and HDMI2. So just plug it into one of Those and its all good!

i tried this on my Lg Stylo 2 and what they fail to mention is that your phone has to be MHL capable

u don't need 3. u can choose any of them. Just make sure your TV source is the same as the number HDMI u have it plugged into.
