Filmed on: 7/20/2023 in Cass, West Virginia.
Today on N.O.R.P, join us as we take you on a historic tour of the town of Cass, West Virginia; as well as a ride on Cass Scenic Railroad's Bald Knob Excursion train, which runs from the station in Cass, to the third highest mountain peak in all of West Virginia, coming in at 4843 feet in elevation. Learn what a Shay locomotive is, and how it compares and contrasts to a conventional steam locomotive, plus learn what a "switchback" is and how it works!

I've been going out to Cass since my Mom & Dad took me there when I was one (1) year old. This year will be the 60th Trip up the mountain. I love it!!!!

No mention of their Greenbrier Express ride on the restored C&O line to Durbin?
