NYG fans will treasure Marshall in our hearts forever. Great speed for a big man, and he never gave up on the play, and that made him get Montana on that famous hit in 1991.
@@richardmorris7063 Joe was worried about Taylor, who stopped Joe's roll, allowing Marshall to make that shattering hit. Then Taylor was karmically rewarded by getting that Craig fumble later in the game.
Is he in the Ring of Honor...if not, he needs to be. The guy was absolute nightmare to opposing QBs. I am sure Montana wakes up in sweat every now and then thinking about that hit.
@@GiantTributes8690 Maybe someday the Giants will do him right......I am enjoying your videos. Brings back a lot memories of watching those players as a kid. Thank you.
Leonard Marshall was a great football player. He along with another great player from the Jets, Joseph Klecko deserve consideration for the hall of fame!!
Man the Giants had an incredibe amount of talent in defensive side of the ball in the 80s and early 90s, Marshall, Burt, Martin, Carson, LT, Banks, Pepper Johnson. And with Belichick calling the plays probably the greatest Giants defensive unit ever.
80’s Giants’ defensive unit: 2 Super Bowls 80’s Giants’ DC SB championships as HC: 6 80’s Bears’ defensive unit: 1 Super Bowl 80’s Bears’ DC SB championships as HC: 0
With an unsung hero on that play in the form of Lawrence Taylor. Taylor was jumping around to the outside, to the inside, then to the outside again to stop rolling Joe dead in his tracks. Then on the other side of the action Marshall got up off the ground not once but twice, never giving up, and closed the distance with his great speed. Immortal!
why isn't he in the HOF along with Banks and Martin they were as good a defense as any other in the 80"s and how many of the 49er"s or bears players are in! we need to campaign to get these guys their due!!!!!
Jim thanks for putting this together
Thanks for enjoying the videos!
Glad they finally put #70 in the ring of honor. Well deserved Big Leonard!

I was gonna say wasn't he the one who knocked Joe out.Joe had no clue he was coming either.Clean hard hit.

Marshall’s hit on Montana in the 1990 NFC Championship game is one of the best hits in NFL history.
Unfortunately, in today's NFL, many of Marshall's plays would be flagged.
😅LEONARD MARSHALL 💪 GREAT MEMORIES OF THE G MEN 💪😎👍
Marshall was a beast as well as Erik Howard.
Dorsey too, boy they were a hard nosed bunch for awhile.Blue collar guys!

Unfortunately he is not in the Ring of Honor.

Big Leonard under rated by some but giants fans no how great he was. Inside outside the guy kept bringing it
A monster! His hit on Joe in the championship game was epic!
Beast, you don't have too like it but you'll respect it.... Proud of you big brother you set the standard.
This man is Legend! Very humble man! I think one of the best defense lineman ever!
One great Giant!!!
Class Act -- took the time to visit my nephew in his room at blythedale children's hospital after an appearance there.

Marshall, Taylor, Martin, Johnson, Carson, Banks, Burt, Reason, Deossie. I'll line up the old Giants defense against team.
Underated...
When LT was credited with a "half sack," Leonard was often the other half. Great player
I’m my opinion top 5 best Defensive lineman n giants history
It was Leonard Marshall who put joe Montana out of business

Banks in the HOF? LMAO> You can't be serious!
@@busternutt2874, true. Banks only had 2 good seasons, 1986 and 1987.
Run stopper
Anyone know that NFL films music in the video?????
Which song do you want to know?
He was an anchor in those great defenses.
