I’d like to know from anyone who’s on this if it works for you how long did it take for you to notice improvements in your blood sugar I just got out of the hospital feb 6 2023 after going for a uti and got admitted for diabetic ketoacidosis I’ve had uncontrolled blood sugar for a while im what’s referred to as a bad diabetic in the fact that im bad with my taking my insulin as prescribed I always get frustrated when I don’t see good numbers even though i eat properly and take meds properly then I stop taking insulin I really need to get back on track to im just wondering if this pill is worth bringing up to my doctor when I go see her on feb 14
Thanks for this amazing and true video. I was hospitalized and in a severely bad condition with a sugar reading of 107 , I went into a diabetic coma.
My levels weren't coming down with the insulin and metformin alone. It only started coming down the day I started Forxiga 10mg once daily.
My side effects are sweating, occasional headaches, light headedness and occasional cramps. These are however not severe.
Overall, FORXIGA / FARXIGA is an amazing medication.

Used to think that the repetitive Farxiga commercials were annoying, hokey, and just plain stupid. Not anymore. This medication is literally saving my life. Without it I might not have had too much time left because my edema was out of control.

Me to I started last week but this makes me more comfortable taking it I also take a shot to help with weight loss to try to help keep my sugars in range I way 194 and I’m type 2 diabetic so I’m hoping it works for weight loss so that my blood sugars can be contróleles better
My doctor prescribed me Forxiga 3 weeks ago and my GFR decreased by 5ml instead of 2ml previously. Is it expected ? How long does it keep decreasing the GFR ?
Just started taking this medication my nuephrogooist prescribed it because i have stage 3 ckd due to a rare kidney disease and thanks for sharing this video and answering some questions i appreciate it.

I like the drug but what they don’t tell you is when you pee a lot you loose all your vitimans so you must take them more often so you don’t become deficient.
I don’t have diabetes but high blood pressure and CKD, but my neph put me on it. How does it work for me?

My husband taking Janumet , Losartin , and Farxiga. He is being taken Loastin from years . Janumet he is taking long time too . Like almost 8 months his is taking Farxiga, he is potassium is 5.5 and he has to go in Low potassium diet . I am very upset about it . Do you think Farxiga make this potassium high ? And also he has some white patches inside his mouth in the cheek. I think this medicine is the problem. Can you give suggestions please
Farxiga was prescribed to me by my cardiologist. It’s been shown in tests to greatly reduce chances of mortality for those with cardiomyopathy

I can understand your concern, but the answer really lies in your statement, the word “rare”. I’d say discuss your concerns with your doctor and let him or her guide your decision, but once again “rare”. Wishing you the best.
Try something else, that's what I did. The side effects are bad for me. I adjusted diet to get control.

Only if you don't mind getting up to pee frequently or the risk of not getting up to pee. 😊

After taking Farxiga my creatinin level increased and my urine sodium, potassium and chloride went below normal levels. Farxiga did not have any positive effect on my proteinuria either therefore I would say it is more harmful than helpful for kidneys.

@@scarletmacaw in my case Farxiga has done more harm than good, of course, I am also non-diabetic and took Farxiga for kidney disease. If you are diabetic Farxiga helps reduce your glucose by opening your kidney filters. At the same time do not forget that the more glucose you lose the less insulin you pancrease must produce and in the long term this will create its own problems
Can this drug cause slow urine ? Mine has slowed since taking this 😳
I do, I almost constantly have an urge to pee, then I pee just a little.
