Simple solution as a parent. You don't grab her in that moment and beg her to come with you. You give her the ultimatum. She either leaves him, or she has no place to stay when the relationship falls apart. You don't give her a sense of a safety net.

I remember a story that a gf actually was beaten to death by her bf and all that time, her parents and friends tried to pull her away saying how bad he is, but she kept saying “But i love him”. They eventually gave up, but told her their homes are open when she finally uses her brain. Sadly, it didn’t end well.

This breaks my heart. I stayed with my abusive ex and he ended up going to jail after he hit me with his car. I’d have a new bruise everyday, black eyes, burns, and still stayed. It’s hard being in love with an abuser. They know we’re weak, they brainwash us to stay. I hope she got out of this relationship and is okay.. he’s going to do it again. I thought my ex “learned his lesson” and he did for about 1 1/2 years, before he started hitting me again. Breaking my belongings, locking me out of the house, stealing my money, name calling, pushing me into a full body mirror and laughing as I pulled glass out of my legs. I’m so heartbroken for her and her mother who is praying every night she won’t have to bury her daughter from this man.
