Bobby Caldwell is a genius. My first contact with the song was through the Commodores' unimprovable version in 85, but Mr Caldwell was the brain behind it.
He was ahead of his time!, the black radio station thought he was black and the white radio station thought he was black and they just didn't know how to accept him and his style of music!, he never got his just dew!, what a true talent!
It's sublime. It kicks the studio version in the tail. It always bothered me how musicians for the most part stopped recording their studio material in this fashion.
Thank you for your good music and your beautiful songs. Requiescat in pace.
Ahhhhh, Bobby in his prime. Nothing better!!
This version of Janet is so good, I absolutely adore it! ❤️

What a legend he should have been credited for his talent
Just heard the news... RIP Bobby Caldwell! There are no words...
One Of My Favs. Blue Eyed Soul Man! Bobby C. 🎤🎸
I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. Bobby Caldwell doesn't get his due as a songwriter in the industry.
Rest in peace legend 💔
I like the way Machan Taylor (female backing vocal) dances.
