      @@thatfitfriend it took a while to try them properly because I had to exchange for a half-size smaller but overall I really like them! I do a mix of strength training and HIIT classes, and these handle both well. They feel solid but lightweight. Only issue I’ve found is I always have to re-tie the laces to tighten the shoe again - not sure if others are having this issue.

    It’s interesting to see how shoes have progressed. There certainly was a lot of “running shoes at the gym” years ago along with Converses and such - and my earliest true lifting shoes were the Reebook Crossfit Lite low tops, basically a Converse. Fast forward many years and they can build these shoes that are still stable for lifting, but you can tackle a short run in them too or bounce on the toes and not feel like you’re standing on a thick rubber waffle.

    Love my 10’s. Such a stable shoe for squats & deadlifts. Such an Elite leg day shoe that I bought a 2nd pair.

    • @Rambiker2023chief
      @Rambiker2023chief ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the x1 and x2 and I didn’t like squatting in them. The floatride stuff is comfy but just isn’t stiff enough. It’s just not solid feeling. I tried ordering the legacy lifters but they’re too expensive. I did manage to find a new nano X but a women’s color way which I don’t care for the looks anyway since it’ll be strictly used for lifting at the gym

    I had a pair of the X1 Adventures but they gave me a numb heel that didn't go away for 6 months after I stopped wearing them. Those silly plastic bits at the back broke as well (this is from walking in them only, I might add). Then bought an X and and haven't had any issues since. I'm just really not sure if I want to try the X2 now after that. But the 9 or X are sometimes more expensive than the X1!

    • @fakhriahmad3614
      @fakhriahmad3614 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really wanted to like the x1 adventure because it would solve most of my shoe needs when I travel but that heel design is just a big major fault with the shoe.

    Would love to see an overview of the Nano line evolution with whatever you’ve got left. Definitely cover the 2, 6, 9, and now these three that you have. Doesn’t need to be full reviews (especially since you can’t really find older than the 9 for sale anymore) but would love some more insight into the designs and materials used and how well they held up for each task, since we didn’t have your reviews early on!

    • @thatfitfriend

      This idea is sickkkk! I've thought about this, but was never sure if anyone would watch since I only have my 8, X, X1, and X2s and would have to pull screenshots of older models (I've given a bunch away over the years!).

    I noticed you mention Achilles rub and not heel rub. I had some bad heel rub and blisters on the 9’s. Are any of these an improvement? I’ve stayed away from the Nano’s since I ended up keeping the 9’s a 2-3 years ago, which I should have returned.

    I'm a Nike guy and I passed on the Metcon 8 for some Nano XI. I tried the X2, but the XI felt better. I like that the tongue is just a tad taller on the XI and I did feel a slight pinch just above my big toe on the X2. 🤷‍♂️

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re quite the anomaly there, honestly (in a good way, btw!). Feel like the majority prefer the X2…which is good because you can typically stock up on X1s for good prices!

      @@thatfitfriend Yes! Prices!! Honestly I felt weird buying Reeboks since all my athletic shoes are Nike. Literally 100% 😄
      But today I took advantage of the sales in my area and tried on multiple sizes of both brands/styles/years and walked away with what I believe was the best fit for me and that was the Nano XI in size 11 (my true size) for $59 + tax. Yes please!!

      Similar in re: performance and comfort. TriBase will feel a tad more “stable” with its micro g foam midsole.

    I have the nano x and x2. Nano X is by far better for working out and casual wear. X2 looks nicer and more appealing if I'm going out though. Most of my issue with the X2 is that the shoe keeps slipping off when I'm doing squats or running no matter how tight I tie them.
