    Beautiful boat, and obviously very well looked after. I've just watched all of the sailing around the south island series and thoroughly enjoyed each of them.

    Stewart Island was my favourite particularly Pegasus, south cape and east harbour. Climbing Gog and MaGog walking the tin mine trail were also high lights if Our Trip. Boat is Southern Cross from Mana. Will keep an eye out for you in the sounds. Keep up the adventures.

      I’m glad you enjoyed it. We were in Mana for three weeks earlier this year. Prior to heading north. We’ll have to keep an eye out for you when we get back!

    What an excellent trip !
    Gosh, you seemed to get a lot of overcast, wet weather - a good job you didn't go in winter !!!
    Next trip, North Island ?
    Regards, John.

      Hi there John, yes North Island is on the cards and maybe we won’t need our wet weather gear quite so much!

      John Lord. They ONLY get 200 inches of rain down the sounds each year. Possibly less falls during the winter.. Great videos aren't they.

    Great video! Do you still own the boat? I was a bit surprised to click the blog link and find Amelie is on her way from Hong Kong to Taiwan!

      I’m a bit surprised as well, given I am sitting on her now in Havelock! Must check the blog link??

      @@jrtxk Hahaha! Methinks the tracking might be confused - there are a few Amelies across the world.

    Good stuff. So many questions! Was that an outgoing tide when you left Otakou? Or just classic, lumpy Tairoa Head?

    • @jrtxk
      @jrtxk  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there Grant, It was top of the tide and just turning, so we were a bit surprised by the lumpy seas! Wouldn’t want to do it with an outgoing tide and a NE blowing!
