Grabe, I remember watching this film as an entry for Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino in cinema with my ex almost 4 years ago. That moment, I asked myself, "what if maging abugado ako?" Fast forward, here I am now, in law school, a freshman law student struggling while enjoying the study of our jurisprudence. Totoo ang sinasabi nila na the word difficult is an understatement. Mad respect sa mga magigiting nating abugado! This film truly influenced and inspired me a lot in taking up law despite the fear and limitations that I have.
And Santiago declined it or dropped out because production was in conflict with campaign period. Watching this in order to motivate myself that the strictness of the professor is just a training to prepare myself to real life and I happened to have a strict teacher when I was in highschool and he insulted me in front of the class for not being smart enough to answer his question ( he is my calculus teacher btw) and at that moment I remembered the first thing he said on the first day of class that when you get insulted take it as a lesson because the world is not kind enough for cowards. From that I learned to improve myself and prove to him that I can pass his class. I admired him for being strict to us. Thank You Sir for turning me into a good student.
Strict is not the same as rude. Criticism is not the same as verbal abuse. People can get PTSD from being shamed in front of other people. That high school teacher of yours was abusive and he tried to get away with it by conditioning your minds right from the outset to be okay with getting abused. And yes, being insulted is a lesson. The lesson being that you should report people like him to proper authority.
Hope to see more of this kind of movies in the Philippines. Hindi yung puro kalandian, or di kaya patayan dahil sa mga paghihiganti issues or mayaman -mahiral rivalry kyeme. Eto ang totoong realidad. Anyways...

lightning round is terrifying. my crim 2 prof would put you on recit till you made a mistake and sometimes had 1 question per student. worst casualty for me was getting called 5 times in 2 hours. not fun
Mahhh goodness, Ms Odette Khan reminds me of the great senator Mirriam Defensor Santiago,,,,,,, chills,, sobrang galing ni Ms Odette Khan,❣️😊😁
"Ocho may utang ka pa" cracked me up real hard! Haha 😂
Hahahaha! Same 😜
Also, yung "hhmm.. batchmate" lol
Haha "how could you"
Kaya nga eh walang tawad. 😄😄😄

Grabe, I remember watching this film as an entry for Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino in cinema with my ex almost 4 years ago. That moment, I asked myself, "what if maging abugado ako?"
Fast forward, here I am now, in law school, a freshman law student struggling while enjoying the study of our jurisprudence. Totoo ang sinasabi nila na the word difficult is an understatement. Mad respect sa mga magigiting nating abugado!
This film truly influenced and inspired me a lot in taking up law despite the fear and limitations that I have.
💜
@@monde6710 laban lang. Goodluck!
Justice Hernandez portrayal was 1st offered to late Sen MDS. Sayang. BUT, Odette Khan was indeed a great actress!
Weh pano mo nalaman?
And Santiago declined it or dropped out because production was in conflict with campaign period. COMELEC rules along with administrative and election laws state that campaign period bans showbiz appearances for candidates because appearances in any non-news and non-informative programs (like teleseryes) would be considered advertising time
.
Miriam
has integrity. She wont even go to Vice Ganda show.., even if she admired him.
@@eduardochavacano iba ang showbiz interviews sa portrayals sa isang film. she was indeed suited for the role as Justice Hernandez because SHE IS SUITED FOR IT. but yeah, conflict dahil sa election period and it is stated in the law na bawal sila mag appear on any forms of media (except news) kase it is considered an advertisement.

Saw this on a theater. And back then, I remember seeing numerous ads of Bar Boys. People who always look down on Filipino films always ignore Filipino films in general and when they find something like this, it's like a great discovery for them. Aside from Bar Boys, we have a lot of Filipino films that are not about romance. Sadyang mapanghusga lang talaga ang karamihan.
13:10 taught me how to be brave and resilience. just like school, don´t settle with 3.0 do your job and aim higher
the word " INDEX " gives me chills
I miss that Index!!only Law students can relate to this.
@@nickjoysean9447 not only law students, .. mapa private or public school and any course ginagamit talaga aang index card,.. alam ko yan kasi nag aral ako public and private school,..

And here I am dreaming of becoming a lawyer. This looks very challenging and exciting
Its challenging but not exciting unless ur so prepared to be that excited.

How are you? Are in law school right now?
Ms. Odette Khan is really an Effective Artist..and I enjoyed watching this film. I remembered during our Recitations,,. Classcards,, Assignments and of course my Nervous System. ''
Grabeh!!! Hats Off to Ms. Odette Khan! 👏👏👏
This brings back the time when my law professor encouraged me to enter law school. So much memories.
Never will I ever forget the "INDEX CARD", first day, buong class period ako nag recitation. Ndi na ako nakaupo hangng matapos but I survived.

I've learned something new of what's really going on inside a law classroom from this video.❤
Yep! Although not always true, but this sums it up. 😊
I go back to this clip whenever I had a bad recitation. It helps me move on and focus at the present and future tasks.
I know the feeling of having these kind of professors- strict, fearsome looking dragons, terror!! Hahaha I'm not a law student, architecture student here! Salute to all law students and lawyers.
I am a grade 12 STEM student and I had teachers like this. We had to memorize and recite the Preamble and the 1987 Constitution of the Philippines- Article III along with our school guidlines. It was stressful. But I learned a lot.

Ms. Odeth Khan reminds me of my Psychology Prof way back in College, even the manner of speaking 😊 This movie is SUPERB 👍
Same here
One of the best Filipino movies I've seen. Ms. Odette Khan really did an excellent job with her role. I would like to see more movies like this.

BAR BOYS is now my comfort movie! The best!
I even once got the highest grade sa last law subject namin. Thank you for this movie, masasabi kong masaya naman ako kahit natatalo dahil gumagawa ako at lumalaban. Kasama ng paglaban ng mga taong walang sawa at pagod na sumusuporta at nagtitiwala sa akin ❤ Babalik ako sa comment ko na to as a CPA and when I find my calling ( masasabi ko kasi ito ang fave subject ko nung undergrad namin baka masaya din ako sa practice ng law ) , gusto ko maglaw school habang nagwowork .Madami ng nakaya at Kakayanin ko din ❤❤ There maybe full of pain and sacrifices but it will be worth it 😊 Love lots and God bless.
goodluck po sa inyo :)
"you did not read enough if you don't know the answer"

THE LAST SCENE, THE PROFESSOR'S DIALOGUE, IS VERY CONVICTING. ❤️
Grabe ung pressure pag law school. Review dito, memories diyan, para silang mabubuwang. Namimiss ko na sila sa hallway. Goodluck and God bless sa magiging lawyers.
I'm aspiring Attorney here but I know what it feels to be in the class and with all the recits and terror professors who were attorneys, judges, prosecutors, and justice already... aaaah nerve racking indeed but it was really great to memorize every article sections of the law, penal codes and court appeals. Been a proctor for so many times in every examinations of the law students in one of the highly anticipated Law School in the Philippines.
Goodluck😊😊
Goodluck sir. Law school is fun especially when you will be surrounded of good professors and classmates.

@@ryanmantac that is true. what is 5 unforgettable scenes law class?
Nakakatakot yung mabunot ka sa pa index card na yan pero mas nakakatakot pag nakasagot kana tapos tatanungin ka nang "Are you sure?" mag reflect kana talaga sa past mo pati narin sa future mo
Anyways...
I’m not a law student, I’m in grade 12, STEM student but I can relate to this. Our english teacher is so like this, he’s taking law and he’s applying to us what their teacher is doing them. And the index card part always make me so damn nervous
Odette Khan, ang galing mo. Natural na natural acting mo. Maganda rin ang pagkaka ayos s iyo. Glad ur hair not up in buns. Diba teacher or principal role nya sa Dear Heart. Movie ni Gabby & Sharon. She is tough and ang galing. Bravo! More roles and awards for you. You nailed this role. Love it!

"Don't bring my name to it, it's not my penis"
HAHAHA. CAN'T STOP LAUGHING
I entered med school when i was 27 and i thought no one can hurt me anymore as I have seen the world and experienced worst but no, my prof are as notorious as these prof and even worst and I hated them to the bone but now that I am doing it thru online class, I realized that classroom setting will really mold you and help you do better than just reading allby yourself. So to all co- students doing online classes, kapit lang mga bisht!
Odette Khan gave me chills.
Odette Khan is really one of the best in the industry. Ito ang mga roles na bagay sa kanya, tough in the outside pero malambot ang puso.
Odette Khan deserves to be honored for this film. Or were she already?
She was already, she won the FAMAS for best actress in a supporting role
