I have this weird feeling that using these things may put your armoured core's systems in jeopardy... Also: This is why Nine-Ball is not in this game. He would have all of them equipped at the same time.
People will always say it's never as good as the old ones. Honestly, it's really hard to get used to the much faster pacing and not having to worry about overheat anymore (thank god) but it's fun as hell and polished to a mirror sheen. I'd recommend it even if it weren't AC just cause it's a damn good time.
Wish armored core 6 used some of the mechanics in the 5s. The operator view would have been a nice edition to spectator mode. 6's pvp scene is naturally going to be much larger than 5's
You can charge the grind blade and the mass blade while moving with your boosters. You can do the same with the Legion Pulse. The giga missile and the giga cannon you need to stand still and aim. You can lock on to targets while using a Overed/Ultimate Weapon.
It's a pretty good game. ACV had problems, but Verdict Day fixed them all. It is focused on team gameplay, so joining a team or making your own would be a good idea. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase of it.
Is that really what the ultimate weapons are? I know that in V and Verdict Day, you play as a kind of "budget AC" that's about half the size of the NEXTs from 4 and For Answer, but I never thought of the Ultimate Weapons being salvaged NEXT weapons, that's awesome!
seeing as V and Verdict day are chronologically after 4A its possible. However i seem to understand people were rediscovering old world NEXT tech in Verdict Day, not V, so it might not be the case. Perhaps the newest addition, the mega blade, is a remnant of the old laser blade tech.
Actually the ACs in armored core 5 and verdict are the normal type ACs that has been used since the early games. NEXTs are the ones that are special, they were used in AC4 and 4A only.
@@dylanr.cerezo4325 but I thought you already had laser blades in the game they just were less because you didn't have Kojima reactors equipped and your armored Core would swing with its waist instead of its arm
ArmoredCoreNetwork used the Legion Pulse weapon in some PVP matches. Can't remember what video it was in, though. And in another of their videos, SOMEONE used the Mega Blade and killed an enemy with it, but I'm not sure if it was their team mate or one of their two UNACs that were with them.
I have them all, and at least I have unlocked them by getting the S rank in each mission, although there are missions with AC's that have them, like in the prologue of Armored Core V, the next time you see it (At least that worked for me), defeat him and get the S class in the mission, after that I got the message "Supreme Weapon Obtained/Discovered"
In honesty 4 and 4 Answer are better than 5 and Vday. The only thing 5 and Vday has going for it is team based gameplay. I suggests wait for the price to drop to $20 bucks or get a japanese copy and make a japanese online account as that is where the real fun is.
+Drakrylos the Vex Commando Use a core with high conductivity. I think the CC-132 is a good core for that. Just use a high critical power generator and you'll be fine.
I still could never understand how to use the ultimate weapons to this day. Well okay I'm a partial-veteran Raven (Armored Core 3 & Last Raven user) and I have just purchased Verdict Day, and I got that last one shown: Ultimate Sword Weapon, but I have no clue how to use it properly (lol sorry!) and does it like truly deplete everything and stops boosting possibility? I was seriously crippled after I tried it out in the training room, couldn't figure how to charge and slash with it either, and when it ran out, my poor Armored Core was moving like with lethargy.
Well, I think even the third gen AC would cry too if you slap a fucking reactor on it that is bigger than the mech itself. :D But yeah, I love the old AC a bit better, they were lighter, faster. The fights were always like a beautiful dance.
Beautiful until the enemy AC flies right above the upper limit of your screen and proceeds to stun lock you (e.g.: Nine Ball/Code Crimson) Other than that, I 100 times prefer 1-LR than 4-VR for the same reasons. 4 was too fast & 5 is too slow (and no back linear cannons).
you can still boost while using overed weapons/ultimate weapons the only ones preventing you from boosing are the giga cannon, and giga missile (they are basically sniper cannons of their respective damage type KE for missile, TE for giga cannon), you hold down your attack button to charge the longer it is held the more powerful or in Giga Missile's use case more accurate it becomes, you will need a core unit with high conductivity to lessen the charge time of the ultimate weapon
Ive considered buying this game....still debating if I should....really like ac 2 and ac 3...havent played 4....is 5 worth playing cuz ppl tell me its not as good as the old ac games...ac 5 looks really good tho but ive been hearing alot of bad stuff about it
if you havent found your answer... pun? its ok but verdict day is definitely more inspired by Demon Souls than it is "Armored Core", ACV is more in line with classic AC games thats basically anything Pre-AC4, Verdict Day is a toss up as it doesnt have your standard AC mission layout and the main missions are generally shorter way way shorter hence why its more like ACfA in that regard basically the main missions are generally over in 5-10 minutes compared to V's 10-30 minutes
These look fuckin silly and I really hope they aren't in the next AC. Everything doesn't have to go all monster hunter and over( ed) sized and shit. ACs are already badass and within their universe, somewhat believable.
@@thesaddestdude3575 in verdict day you unlock them all as soon as you finish the game, in V for missile you need to kill all the Zodiacs who appear as early as main mission 1, Giga Blade is a Verdict Day added weapon so again you unlock it via completing the game, if you already got the overed weapons/ultimate weapons in V just do a transfer save on Verdict day you get to keep all of them with the balance changes to the stats required by verdict day
Came back after armored core 6. I clearly didn't finish the video 9 years ago. I wish these made it into the game. They always felt like a cool last ditch effort when losing a fight. ripping your arm off to attach solidifies that feeling. With more would damage or maim your ac in some way
Willy kun The only time I EVER used a UW successfully was in an order mission in AC5. It involved a 1 v 2 match with a tank and a RJ. I actually used the mass blade to one shot the tank then took out the RJ in a 1v1
Well in pvp scenarios they were quite useful at weeding out a few players early on in a match. My team always ran 2 giga missiles, a RJ recon support, and a heavily armed biped. Our success rate with 2 UW to open every matchaikovsky was higher than expected, and if the other team had never fought us before we usually went unpunished if we didn't get any UW kills.
Fun fact: In-game it is not visible, but the AC's head changes along with the Ultimate Weapon
It only works with some head units though.
This is what Gundams would look like if Newtypes and Psychoframes didn't existed.
I would love to see that timeline.

For that very reason alone he is not in the game.

THESE THINGS ARENT WEAPONS THEY ARE ABSOLUTE UNITS OH MY GODDDD
the mega blade is the most impressive and terrifying UW i've seen.
High capacity generators increase charge up times, giving you more uses
Jeez, that laser blade looked like Maximillian's Valkyria armor and shield from Valkyria Chronicles
Thanks for the thorough demonstration. I was curious about the blow-torch blade.

Some of them you can find the similar weapons in AC6, like the giant chainsaw as Double Trouble.
The Giga Missile explosion cloud always reminded me of a middle finger.
remember, overed weapon can damage your self
The last one was just epic.

Color reminds me of the Lancelot Unit from Code Geass
Now that you mentioned it, it actually kinda does.
What About the Hades Missiles? Best Overed weapon in my opinion a lot of people have no idea it's out there...
Do you get it at the end of the game like all the others?
I always feel what's the point of the stats for your legs when you're always flying anyways.

No, it´s a new thing in VD. Whenever you use an UW, you will not have energy for about 40 seconds or so.
Hopefully on Armored Core 6 have this am i right?
no, they're not coming back in 6
They didn't :/
lol the beam blade
it's hard finding good mech porn these days.
can you make a video showcasing the new parts and especially the heads?
and it look like you lose energy when the limit gauge is zero and you switched back.
What's the song that plays during the garage showcase?
well, I played through V and pretty much had almost all of them by default... save for the Mega Blade.
Mounting NEXT weapons on normals i see
wicked mech.
Is it possible to make a mech silmar to White glint Or Stasis from AC:Fa?
A cross between them is the final boss.
halosammy14 More like a cross between White Glint but WAY more closer or inspired by Unsung (Maximillian Thermidor)
amazing ost in this game.... o.o if the music is from it that is.

Im newbie, and I want to know what means the "junk" and "repaired" messages on some itens. Tks
junk pieces's perfomance degree when you take damage and cannot be repaired
why do you have to charge a "missile" that long? its not an energy weapon.
How did you make the Mega Blade charge so quickly? And how did you get more than 1 use?

I don't believe it is possible to get them. It's be pretty busted if you could though, since it would mean you're piloting the equivalent of a NEXT.
