    this looks so dangerous with all the machinery and acid but then there's such cheerful music, really liked seeing where pins come from though!

      Not all acids are like Sulfuric or Hydrochloric acid, he wasn't even wearing gloves. These are mild acids probably not much stronger than lemon juice for cleaning.

    There's some weird Engrish/grammar going on in this, but it's actually really informative. I'm curious as to what you mean by 'flintiness' though. From the process, I'm assuming you're tempering the metal to deal with the cutting stresses better, but I'm no expert.

      yes its hardening. it will become more brittle possibly inspiring the use of "flintiness"

    It’s crazy to see that all color is still applied by hand. Is this how it’s done everywhere still, or are there also some that have automated that process I wonder

      still 99% done by hand. I would say. I don't knw for sure but, this will be automated in time I would bet! For now though, It's still down to skilled artist

      There's absolutely a machine lmao. The one I saw can do up to 5 or 6 colors in one run through. It means the company using it had an upcharge for more than 5 colors, since they gotta put it through more than once.

      they're not actual people, it's a computer voice. it's to the point where they've gotten rid of the weird inflections.

    This was very interesting, but you need to hire a better translator before the captions and voiceover are done! Your voiceover guy so carefully read it with all of the errors and strange language. XD

      The first part of your comment answers the last part. You were curious about the process, and now you know.
      The video is full of little translation quirks like this. It does make sense, but it isn’t exactly the way native English speakers would phrase it.

      I believe they work with pantone solid coated for the color.

      The badge making process really needs to be carefully done every step, I know a badge making factory, its workmanship is very similar to the original picture, 99% similar!

      thats why they polish the front after painting, so excess enamel gets off and the lines get bolder

      @@PansitoMiau especially hard enamel, the polishing widens the lines. A good factory will check the design beforehand and advise you to fix.
