- My last board just delaminated, so I purchased the 2023 Jones Mountain Twin Snowboard. With so many options out there, it is hard to decide what board to get.
I went with the Jones Mountain Twin because it seems like a playful all mountain snowboard. Since the conditions we ride in are pretty variable, I wanted something that does pretty well in most conditions.
This is my review of the Jones Mountain Twin. I was able to test it in both hard-packed/icy conditions and powder conditions.
My Measurements: 5'7", 158lbs, size 7 boot. Board Size 154

It's a super fun board, I'm really liking it!
Im about to pull the trigger on a 160. This video makes me feel a lot better about my decision. You looked absolutely stocked in the pow. I could feel how much fun you were having. What bindings are you running?
You'll love the board! I'm using the Karakoram Free Ranger bindings because they have the connection plate you can throw on multiple boards and swap bindings in a couple seconds if you want to ride a different board. Also Karakoram is a few minutes down the road from me so if I need anything I can get parts quickly. I had some really nice Rome bindings but the straps broke last season and they were out of straps for the rest of the season which was lame.
Love this board . Got it in December 2023. Cant wait for 23/24 season.
It's been an extremely playful board so far! I'm counting down the days until the snow starts to fall again, I can't wait

Great board but get the 23 version. I think the only difference is the graphic from the 24 version and save a few bucks

Next time, bring your bindings to the back, the board will even go way better in de pow and also in the slush….

Nope, I'm lazy and never adjust them for powder days 😂
Tip on your ollie attempts: swing your hips back into a tail press before feeling the tension of the board load up, then pop using the back feet to spring. Then suck up both knees to level out. You're currently popping with both legs, they then go too straight and causes you to land heel heavy.
That sounds much easier than what I'm doing! I never skateboarded growing up so I never really figured out the ollie technique. I'll try these tips out today, I appreciate it!

Which K2 board did you use before the JMT?
I actually don't know the name of the board. My buddy worked at K2 and got gear all the time, so when I first started snowboarding he gave me a free board which is what I used up until the JMT! So quality-wise it lasted a long time, but I haven't figured out what the name of the board was.
if you dont mind me asking, what size board did you get compared to your dimensions (wight and height)? im debating on wether i need to go down a size or not depending on how reactive the board is

No it's not symmetrical, my back foot I have turned out slightly less than my front
@SummitForWellness I mean position of the screw bindings set toward the back or equal space to the front from front foot and back foot to back.
There is Freeride or Freestyle setups on this board

I've got small feet so my boots are either a size 7 or 8
