I worked for her in Palm Beach and she was one of the nicest people i have ever met. Very down to earth(she was a business woman). I remember one time a family of five ,their house burnt down and she bought them a new house
Yes, I love moonstone as well. The first tiara featured, that one I like better in it's original form, with the emeralds. I adore green, so emeralds and peridot are my favorite stones, but moonstone is up there too!
Dazzling collection indeed! I like the peridot bracelet, her philantrophy shows her immense generosity is wonderful. Thank you, Andrew, for another lovely video. Stay well as always.
Please do feature another stunning and historic jewelry collection owned by Evalyn Walsh McLean..owner of the Hope diamond until her passing and the Star of the East diamond among other spectacular pieces..
She was an amazing woman. Do you know that that the Mercy Ships started with Marjorie? She sent her yacht with doctors to help during WWII. She also built Trump’s Mar-a-Lago.
I like the ruby demi-parure and the large art deco emerald brooch. The Marie-Louisr tiara was utterly ruined by replacing the emeralds with turquoises. From magnificent to blah in one ill-advised step.
The George Headley you used the pic of in this content unfortunately is not the jewelry designer, the person you used their pic is a West Indian cricket player from the old times named George Headley. You wanted to use the picture of George W. Headley. Too bad. I was kind of excited that Marjorie Merriwether Post was a patron of a black jeweler back when it was not the norm and would be very progressive of her at the time so I went in a deep dive to find out everything about the designer and his other works and unfortunately discovered the error.
Possibly compiled by AI? The sentence at 1:25 doesn't end. The word at 1:41 should be "provenance," not "providence." "Arpels" is mispronounced. Anyone knowledgeable in jewelry wouldn't do that. The mineral in the blue diamond is boron, not baron. Then "Van Cleef and apples."
My cousin wrote to her estate and all she got a bad photo copy of and picture of one tiara and saying that was she had so no wonder she was cheap after death
I cannot get behind the jewelry from the Victorian era and the Edwardian era and 1950s-70s. I'm surprised she has such few art Deco pieces in her collection considering her age at the time she started collecting. Also tourqoise is such an unattractive stone to have in European jewelry. It works so well in Native American jewelry with silver but in a Tiara the diamonds seems too opulent and out of place for the more muted tourqoise. For a woman with so much wealth her jewelry collection is awfully dowdy and unattractive. That Napoleon diamond necklace and the heart shaped blue diamond tho? Fantastic! The pearl and moonstone as well was pretty cool.
So what? Who does? At least, instead of giving it to Uncle Sam, she gave it to the public so the generations to come can enjoy it. I see this as a positive.

The moonstone and pearl demi-parure is staggeringly beautiful!!!

Of the 3 collections, I find this collection to be the most intriguing.
That emerald brooch omfg it's incredible I love it ❤️❤️

A dazzling collection and my favorite piece is the diamond and sapphire necklace
One of the best private collections I’ve seen if not THE best 😍😍😍😍
My favorite piece is the Marie Louise Diadem with turquoise
We agree.
I think it’s difficult to top the craftsmanship and artistry of that earlier day.
Like the Post collection best as I am a sucker for Art Deco design.
Très très chic 🎉
Engagement ring stunning
Gorgeous 🙏🙏🙏🤗

She gave the jewels as a way to cut her taxes. Yes she was an important philanthropist. But let’s not get carried away
For real.

I wonder which of these gems had originally come from the Romanov collection.

I’m Sure, King Charles would have delighted Queen Camilla with The Post Jewels, had they Not been donated!
Great Extravagance from years gone by!
Easy to live the high life when daddy is one of the richest men in the world 🤷♂️
Wrong George Headley image ...he was not Black
My cousin wrote to her estate and all she got a bad photo copy of and picture of one tiara and saying that was she had so no wonder she was cheap after death
What the hell did her estate owe your cousin praytell? 😂😂😂😂
It's lives--not lieves!! And BOHR-on not bah-RON!

You have no taste and way too much arrogance!
Who cares if she donated them for a tax credit...They survived ...
Can someone please make videos like these by a human. Not bad AI with mispronunciations and wrong images. So frustrating
Let’s be honest, she didn’t want to pay taxes

Hell they really wore their family trees on their heads. Too gauch 🤮🤮🤮
