This is my 2018 Dodge Durango R/T. Texas Speed Stage 1 Cam, American Racing long tube headers, VVT &MDS Delete, and of course, the Whipple Supercharger.
Any car adding a supercharger in it gong to sound rough when it's not tuned. Tbh you'd sound three best one i heard without being tuned. I love it and love the color bro. Keep it up and congratulations
It’ll tune itself honestly. Reset PCM and Ecu, then start it up let it idle for 20 minutes, cycle through each gear and vehicle accessory. Then go on the highway and drive like a race to set the high RPM per Boost shift points in the relearn
@@mydurangoproject good to hear that brother . I own a 6.0 diesel most bitchy engine ever. But best driving, I’ve had so many nightmares with it but it’s not easy learning and getting to the desired outcomes takes time and work
Thanks. I was between two SUVs and ended up with this one. I’ve been very happy with it but of course, the guy in me wants more power from that retuned Hemi in it.
@@meshalsultan5468 that is completely your call. If you’re looking for the louder “whine” then I would say hellcat. The Whipple kit is complete but they sell hellcat kits that are just a bit cheaper than the Whipple. I have been happy with my Whipple kit though.
No plans at this point. I have thought about it. Items I installed: American racing 1 3/4” long tube headers Texas speed stage 1 cam Vvt delete Mds delete Heads ported and polished Whipple supercharger kit Borla cat back exhaust Hellcat oil pump
The power is there but since I don’t have the tune yet, I can’t tell you what it is. Heck, right now the super charger isn’t even engaging. The Whipple kit was just shy of $8k. Keep in mind I had the VVT & MDS delete, instal of stage 1 cam, headers, etc, I came out around $7k for labor. Now. There were parts in the kit that were not correct (new belt, intake to throttle body boot, sensor placement) that we had to work around. Whipple was good about sending the correct part but I would say for the much $, I would figure the kit itself would be better.
@@mydurangoproject i appreciate the response man and hope everything goes well with her 👌🏾💯 and keep the videos coming you just got a subscriber thanks..
Whipple kit cost $8200ish. I did not and wished I had. Currently rebuilding the engine. Going to make another video here within the next couple of weeks explaining everything that was redone.
Hey bro I got damn near the same rt but different rims. I got a stage 1 cam and supercharger that I'm about to put in. Do u have any problems passing emissions with a good tune?
I don’t have emissions here. Sorry, not knowledgeable in that area. I have all of my emissions hardware on and plugged in so I don’t see why it wouldn’t but cannot honestly answer that.
@mydurangoproject appreciate it. We have obd2 plug in test here, no sniffer test, and one sensor can fail and still pass. It doesn't need tested til 2028 so I know I will be good til then anyways, not sure if unlocked pcm and tune will make it not pass obd2 test.
@@talonm8487 I had a bad tune on it so I have a 6.4 in it now. If I had the shop that put the new engine in, it would have been just fine and running strong. But, with the bad tune, it melted/cracked three pistons. The 392 I got was from MMX and got all forged internals installed. I would also say if you are running your stock water pump, get ready to replace it. Stock water pumps are junk and are known to fail.
Awesome man, remove all badging except the R/T on the grill. Get some nice LED or HID headlights for her and it will be super Crispy. Regardless props on the build, update new vid with the Tune
Unfortunately ran into some issues so it is not dyno’ed yet. I’ll be making another video today or e tomorrow explaining the issue. But, when I do get it done, I’ll be sure to post the pulls on this channel
Of you’re just doing the Whipple kit, it runs $8200ish. Then, you have to find your tuner (dyno or email tune). I also added the cam, long tube headers, heads machined, VVT delete and MDS delete. So it was somewhere in the range of $15k.
I can't wait to hear it tuned!!!
Great work!
Looks kool man. Nice durango.
Thank you
Love these things

Nice, sounds a lot like my Hellcat
Man I love your Durango and I wanna put a whipple on mine too and a body in addition to a lot of other things😅
If you do, shoot some video so we can all see!
This is my future plan. I have a v6 Durango for now, gonna trade it in
Love it👍

@@primitivehealing968 it didn’t. In fact it melted and cracked three pistons. There is a 6.4 from MMX in the Durango now.
@@mydurangoproject damn sorry to hear. It’s Recommended to tune parts, I was just mentioning a vehicle has ability to tune itself from relearn.

What was the other SUV ?
I was looking at getting either a Expedition or the Durango.
Clean nice..
Love the car keep going! my question is after replace the Cam or adding the supercharge how to tone it or fund a tuner
I took it to a tuner and it’s going to get dyno. As soon as I have that video, I’ll post it.

How did you tune it? I’ve been dealing with hp tuners. Major pain in the ass
I took it to Drive Autosports in Everett, WA. I am also running HP Tuners.
What’s the price range for doing something like that? I have a 2020 Durango and I’m thinking about doing the same thing
From what I have seen the supercharger itself cost 11000

Is that grill and bumper from a much later model?
Nope. It’s the grill and bumper that came with the vehicle. I just changed the badging.
Did you do forged internals? Also what did the Whipple kit cost?
Whipple kit cost $8200ish. I did not and wished I had. Currently rebuilding the engine. Going to make another video here within the next couple of weeks explaining everything that was redone.
Nice I have a 392 durango and I'm looking to dur forged internals and a Whipple my self
@mydurangoproject you shouldn't really need the forged internals, depending on how much boost you're planning on runnin.

I found them on Google Shop
how much does the shop charge to install the whipple ?
That really depends on the shop. The average was about $7k. But remember, I had more work done than just the supercharger.
