    Anton Bruckner is a genius, yes. With regard to the question of this or that version of his symphonies, perhaps the best solution to understand them is to hear them in chronological order.
    Often described as a "revision mania", it should be borne in mind that the symphony orchestra is the language in which Bruckner spoke. Do we not all modify our ways of saying something through experience. To view all eleven symphonies in each version actually opens up to around thirty-three works. I feel these to be as much autobiographical as they are a message to Humanity, culminating in a 9th Finale that does sound very different as it is portraying something not of Earth: I would go as far as to assert this work surpasses the famous Michaelangelo Cystine Chapel ceiling painting in what is being conveyed through absolute sound.
    And today, let the celebration begin, 199 years since Anton's born day.
