JDCR literally made me interested in this tournament because I knew he would be playing AK. And the fact that he took the whole thing with AK even taking down the Fahk that took down Knee, just amazing, imo he is the GOAT of Korea, not only for his playing, but also how humble he is.
i mean they were great in a game that was different than now since the game shifted its gameplay tone alot more the problem is not that they are bad or weak but just too weak to keep up with the other characters
20:50 that is a glitch existed from day 1 till now, never got fixed... after floor break, when they tech roll and get hit by something is registered as the same combo (in Practice mode you still get the hit counts sometimes!). Side note: AK is a bit underrated, he is pretty decent in S4. Almost every character is, but downplayers... of course there are exceptionally good few top row. But, imo even Gigas is pretty decent and tournament playable.
Agree i play armor king and though he was very weak in earlier season i think he's a greay character now. He's not in the top character but you can still manage to beat the best character with him.

Armor King is kind of like Bowser in the bracket. You could place them close to the bottom and close to the top and both cases would be true. They both have a really low skill requirement but an incredibly high skill barrier you have to cross to play them competitively. Their tactics are hard to pull off but pay out supremely. I will always be a fan of the big strong spikey guys. That being said, I've been a King/Paul main since I was in diapers so I may be biased.
Saints ganryu is a beast!! But lets be real.. ganryu is not a tournament character.. So the fact he got this far is awesome!! I wouldn't say it's a mismatch but it def Shows tier list strength. Plus AKs buffs has helped him tremendously..
Tekkens about consistency right. JDCR is pretty consistently either in the final or top 5-8, playing more often then not lower tier characters out of preference. I would argue JDCR, Arslan, Ulsan Knee and Qudans, Low High, Saint, CBM, Jeonding, Gen, Rangchu, all could go either way, no one is consistently beating one or the other (You can argue arslan is slaying everyone, and he was, but i think there needs to be more regular matches between these competitors to start a pro tier list ect

I get that JDCR is popular, but let's give Saint just as much credit here. Saint Beat JDCR before JDCR beat Saint. Also, Saint and JDCR are the two most evenly matched players I've ever seen. We talk about Armor King not being a top tier character, well neither is Ganryu. This was one of the best matches I've seen in years. Both players evenly matched. Both players beat the other. Both players playing a character that they love. The only thing better would be JDCR and Saint bringing out Heihachi and Bob.

armor king isnt weak. yeah throws are easier to break but he still has the best throws in the game after king. and outside of throws, ak is still really solid
@@thelegion4799 i was going to say after king and arguably marduk, but marduk doesnt have liar grab animations or chain grabs like king and ak. he does have a launching throw and the best ground grabs in the game, one of which also launches, and of course tackle is very hard to break especially when he tackles you after hes run a bit. so yeah i can see marduk being second. tho 2nd or 3rd best in the game is still really good

I used to dislike Ganryu before I started playing him. He’s weird, he’s a simp, and his face looks like an orangutan. Namco decides to make him cost $5.99, and now I want him in Tekken 8 because he’s so much fun and in no way unfair!
JDCR is the absolute GOAT. people are out here playing Lidia, Fahk, DJ but JDCR is a tier way above them all. He really is the best
JDCR played Fahk for a while and he won ATL 2020 grand final vs Knee. But it's great that he's not using Fahk anymore or other "OP" characters haha :)
