Bro, you got the DCT on that as well? Love it. I am close to pulling the trigger on the 2016 VFR 1200X. DCT. I already own a 2021 GW DCT TOUR. I want something a little smaller for my collection. I might get the NC750X. I got 2 months till I decide. Decisions decisions.
I'd be up for a ADV. Won't lie and say my short-list includes a VFR1200X(naturally) , though going off road, I'm on the fence about DCT. I'd have to ride first to confirm, but I'm fairly confident a bit of clutch slippage would assist precarious slow speed moves on dirt/rock. The 1200F can be a bit on/off in 1st at slow speed. Not sure on 1200X as it is de-tuned...... 🤔 Yes, I'd buy as it would be heading deliberately off the black top. Other options, tiger 1200. GS1250, pan American. VFR would be the cheapest option. Used ADVs rarely come with low miles. Would be my first. Not in a race yet, but 50/50 it'll be next type I add to stable. Time frame? 🤔 A few years and after next move I assume. I've "dirt tracked" my 1200F a few times. Would love to go a bit faster than 40-60kph.
@@Paul_Zernick I've had a 2018 triumph tiger xca 1200. It was alright. Ran very hot though. I live in northeast Pennsylvania and I have endless twisty roads. Endless dirt roads as well. Lots of mountains. Let's see what happens. Sometimes great deals fall into my lap.
@@jimgordon3468 wow! Way too many 1200s. GT something only came to mind. Looks like half a dozen plus different 1200s as it is. Ouch. Gonna need to do my homework on the trumper then. Didn't realise so many different ones😔
I have a 2013 VFR1200F and changed the oem screen with a zero gravity sr series windscreen. I wanted a tinted screen. I installed helibars and I am 5' 10'' and feeling buffeting near the bottom of my helmet with the zero gravity screen. I seen your video on your changeover from your zero gravity to the powerbonze. Do you notice a big improvement with the powerbronze screen? I was looking at the Laminar Lip and reviews say it smooths out the airflow but I don't like the looks. Dual windscreens such as the madstad ( which I think you have on your goldwing ) are superior to creating a quiet cockpit, I had one on my 2012 Honda F6B. What is your height? If you say the powerbronze made a big improvement over the zero gravity, I think I will order the dark tint for my black VFR1200.
6'2. Powerbronze on 2013 R1 aswell. Can 💯 say the bubble on that is awesome. Goldwing is a GT euro light tint from wingstuff. Never used oem tour. Used a shorty. Bit noisy at 110k+. GT mid is gtg. Had a madstad on my CTX1300. Was good. Not great. Do not see myself trying a madstad for the wing. I liked the ZG on my viffer. Hated build, fit n finish, colour but. Can't say with certainty which style feels better. Need to test out the PB a bit more. Looks? 10x better. Very premium. ZG, worse than a alibaba screen I baught. Am liking the PB very much. But need more rides. Did not hate ZG. Buffeting, noise etc on PB? No. PB is good. Perfect, no, have had the odd "something", rarely but. Was probably a windy day. Do recall getting pushed around a bit recently.
@@Paul_Zernick Thanks for the response. By looking at the design of the powerbronze versus the zero gravity, it looks like it has more outward curvature to help push the airflow a bit higher than the zg. I went with a zg on my vfr because I had one on my cbr1100xx. Any windscreen you put put on that bike was better than oem!
@@JayLyznicki I purchase my screens for looks first. If they work, great, if not plan B. C. D. Etc. 🤣🤣🤣 Don't recall an issue with ZG other than finish & look. Great from a distance. Not from the cockpit. Plus I love grey tint. Not brown to black. ZG is more brown. Puts me off. PB is near on sunglass optical quality. Crisp👌 Plus the hoop/curve of screen from cockpit looks 💯. The polished edge of screen is real nice too. Like I said, just confirming feel. But so far so good.
Love your bike seat on your VFR- where did you get it from?
Came with bike. Came with alot! Always buy 2nd hand. All 3 came with added goodies👍🇦🇺
