I still believe if Sloan Riley never came into the picture they would still be together or engaged. Mark showed growth became an awesome father and would have made a great husband and Lexie was starting to show signs of growth also. However, Mark and Lexie never really talked about what they wanted from each other. Mark always assumed that Lexie was not ready for marriage and kids but there were hints that Lexie was started to view those things differently.
Astrid Dececco I once heard that all the Lexie-Alex scenes in season 6 were supposed to be izzex and that's the only reason they brought Sloan Riley in and broke Slexie up
You know what? Mark and Lexie never really got a chance to be a real couple. They were like seeing each other and then break up and then screw other people in between. Mark fell in love with Lexie first but she was like forbidden fruit because of his reputation but Lexie saw another side of him and she brought it out but nobody like her sister Meredith and Derek and maybe even Callie would allow them to flourish. I think that Sloan coming to the picture wasn't the issue. It was how he handled it. He allowed her to come live with them. He chose Sloan a daughter he just met and you really don't know if she had good or bad intentions when she came which she ended up having bad ones by using him and so that's what made Lexie walk away.
i think i am the only person who absolutely loves lexies “speech”? it’s so realistic bc even if someone makes you unhappy it’s not so easy to stop loving them. being happy and being in love is not always the same thing and still it’s so hard to let go even if you know how miserable you were.
"and if you keep pulling at me, i'll come back to you..." oh lexie, you fool. you should have get back with him sooner... you were always too late sweetie, you both were... your love were always a little too late :(
Shonda. She needs to make it complicated, so there will be a story. If the story is too smooth and predictable, it's going to be boring. Writers need to bring about a certain response from the audience. It needs to be different responses from what the audiences are expecting - be it amazement, happiness, pleasure, hate, dissatisfaction. Writers need to write the story that could fulfil the requirements of the TV stations, audiences, budgets, actors etc.
She wanted to get back together but Jackson messed with her head by asking her if she wanted to be with a man who already had a kid with two mothers and baggage do she decided against it. I hate him!
Shonda has written this couple absolutely terribly. She really messed this whole relationship up with this terrible writing. She had a chance to make this couple somewat epic. But havin Lexi jump in2 bed 2 seconds after she has dumped Mark all the time is stupid. But she loves him but wont be with him. Lame...
OK i haven't watched since about ep 16 and after watching this, i won't be catching up. I will start watching again when I know these 2 are back together :'(
Shit.... They have to be together , they belong together..... This sucks.... Mark can`t let Lexie go, he loves Lexie & Lexie loves him..... I hope they will come together in season 8 pleeeeeeease.....
Like this if you thought that Mark and Lexie was going to get back together in the episode. I had all my hopes up for it than NOTHING! Now I am seriously going crazy thinking about season 8.

Mark and Lexie are too much alike wants they get mad at eachother or threatened by eachother they will sleep with someone else so will it really be a good idea if these two got back together? And on top of that mark is twice her age and has a kid she does not want children b/c she is still young I don't blame her. If they get back together they will screw it up again 100%
