I subscribed some months ago because you showed me some place in my own country that I had passed by before on my travels, ignorant of its beauty as I was at the time. Forgot which one it was, because somehow you keep doing that, now you did it again. You have covered many lesser known places, not the ones everybody has heard of, that is special about your channel. Also appreciate your research and storytelling.
It was Neuburg, Ulrich, I think! Thank you so much for your lovely words. I really like the lesser known places because I admire the effort the people who live there make, for the love of their town, not for the tourist industry so much. I think it’s what makes Germany such a fabulous country to live in.
I love that Hattingen's Old Town is full of so many beautifully restored buildings. I'd love to be sitting there at an outside table just taking in the atmosphere.
@@LaureninGermany Looks like very well preserved. Inside most of those houses are pretty modern. Just my guess from what i know from my area. A lot of work, enthusiasm and money is put into it usually. The owners have my honest respect. Waiting for the Lastrup video.

It has many pretty and interesting areas and quite a few hikes. I'm sure I'll catch a lot of grief for saying that most places are not quite as scenic, as those in your videos. However the people are friendly, food is great and lots to do outdoors (hiking, biking, skiing etc.) All the best! Peter

Although my father is from Hattingen, I have never heard or found anything about some "Malewinkel"!? But the word sounds, like it has more likely to do with some old mill, than with painters. 😉 The pictures shown while commenting it, show the "Steinhagen"-way (= "stony pasture"). ... Visitors to Hattingen should also (in its outer areas) considder looking at Burg Blankenstein, a middle-sized castle with some other old buildings by it, and the ruins of Burg Isenberg, with was big in the time it was builded, and now lies on a nice foresty mountain.
Oh... Just when i thought i had seen all of your videos, both the travel vlogs and the musical once from Voice Passion, TH-cam suddenly recommended this one to me. That is so great. We have this kind of buildings in Denmark as well. Both in Danish cities like Aalborg, and in rural farm houses. Not so many preserved in Norway. I was once told by a friend of mine that Oslo is attractive to architectural tourists even though Oslo is a rather small city. Because over a relatively small area there are buildings representing more than 11 hundred years. Over the years i have visited different places in Germany maybe 25 times. Really lots of times to Kiel, a few times to Hamburg, Hannover, Cologne, Neunkirchen and some other places. I love so many aspects of german culture. Thanks for another great video.👍

@@LaureninGermanyHi Lauren. Of course i recommend Copenhagen. Aarhus have "Den gamle by" The old city. Quite famous. And Aalborg which i live close to, of course. Besides Denmark have some of the best preserved Viking fortifications in Europe. Even listed as world heritage. One to which i only live only some kilometers away; "Aggersborg".
@@LaureninGermany For modern architecture i recommend "Havneøen" in Vejle. The new domicil for the Lego Ovners. Three towers in the water in the harbour of Vejle. Made by BIG. (Architect firm. Google it) . I was in the towers under construction of the building of the towers and the artificial island itself. Two stories beneath ses level. Work. Back in 2015!!??
I think Copenhagen and Aarhus are the first on our list, and some viking museums. I hope/think we´ll make it soon - I´ll make a video if I do, I think! Thanks- again!
Great video! There's such a beautiful peacefulness to your content - the music, your voice, and the images/transitions. It's a refreshing change (even from my own channel 😅). And I appreciate that you're making my "cities to visit" in Germany list much longer. It's a good thing we live here now and can explore everything this beautiful country has to offer.
Again beautifully made, and again another place beside the most famous and by that most overrated and overcrowded touristy places. It needs a bit out of the box thinking and seeing, that really pays off for the viewers. Keep on doing that, by the time it will spread out!

Da habe ich noch Besichtigungstipps für Dich. Monschau und Bad Münstereifel. Beide liegen in der Eifel (auch in NRW). Bad Münstereifel war aber leider letztes Jahr von der Flut betroffen. Ich weiß nicht, wie der Zustand jetzt ist. Und wenn Du schon in Monschau bist, kannst Du auch Kornelimünster und Aachen anschauen 🙂 Ah ja... in Aachen musst Du natürlich Printen essen!
Aachener Printen kenne ich und ich liebe sie! Ich habe dort kurz gearbeitet, leider bevor ich meinen Kanal hatte, ansonsten hätte ich gefilmt. Ich muss wieder hin! Aber Deine andere Tipps sind mir alle bisher unbekannt, danke!

Da habe ich noch Besichtigungstipps für Dich. Monschau und Bad Münstereifel. Beide liegen in der Eifel (auch in NRW). Bad Münstereifel war aber leider letztes Jahr von der Flut betroffen. Ich weiß nicht, wie der Zustand jetzt ist.
Und wenn Du schon in Monschau bist, kannst Du auch Kornelimünster und Aachen anschauen 🙂

aahhh das ist nicht lustig! Wenn ich was mit der Schulter habe, sitze oder liege ich mit einem Tennisball an der Stelle. Das hilft mir immer sehr. Für das Durcheindandersein habe ich leider keinen Rat, eher den Vorschlag, dass wir eine Gruppe DA starten. (Durcheinander Anon.)

Ich merke es mir… weil ich Hattingen ziemlich umwerfend fand, muss Seßlach sehr toll sein!
