That's a great variation of a deadfall, but I think I would tie the logs together as you annotated so, as to combine the weight for a surer kill. Also, I would probably build it over a rock or hard surface for a better crushing effect. Thanks for the good idea.
Yea, it sounds like a good idea to build it over a rock or hard surface, it becomes a more efficient trap then, and if you want you can tie some sharpened sticks to the underside of the logs, then the animal dies quickly. /NorthSurvival.
I enjoy you videos but my question is why the bellaclivea...... Any ways great videos , thank you for the time an effort you put into teaching bushcraft!
That is the risk with this trap, that the animal will suffer, but if you want you can tie some sharpened sticks to the underside of the logs, then the animal dies quickly. /NS.
Smålänningen-Från-Helvetet Last time I checked, no I was not. Do you know the average size of a squirrel? Most dont even peak over 1.5 lbs and maybe half of that is edible meat. If you want to smash your meat to heck and back and ruin it with its internal bile then go right ahead, but my advice would be to make a dead fall at about 5 times the weight of the animal you are aiming to kill....otherwise, enjoy your pancake squirrel covered and smothered in its own crap.
Inhumane, time consuming, wrecks the meat, gaps in between the logs. I think I'm gonna stick to my 110 conibears. But a good idea if u don't have anything
I never go outside, let alone out to the woods. I don't know when I'll ever need this information, but I can't stop watching your videos.

Yes it will, a small one, and if you use longer logs then it will kill bigger ones.

Good use of the axe
you should tie the logs together.
Tell me, what do you use as bait to trap rabbits?
Thank you! I found it very informational and helpful. Nice video though man... Keep up the good work. Cheers!

good axe where can i buy one?
I think it's because he's Swedish, and that gives him a natural advantage for looking fierce with an axe.
