  • Those, who want to see more of Venice than what the average tourist sees, can jump on the vaporetto to travel to one of the many islands that belong to the city.
In this episode, I visit 5 islands in the northern part of the lagoon.
    Come and travel with us:
    00:00 Introduction
    00:40 San Michele - cemetery
02:56 Lazzaretto Nuovo - former quarantine island is now a living museum
06:59 San Erasmo - the food supplier of Venice
12:16 Burano - island of lace and colored houses
    18:45 Mazzorbo - a well-kept secret
22:12 Torcello - Basilica Santa Maria Assunta
25:00 Closing & preview next episode
We have only visited 5 of the islands in the northern part of the lagoon. There are more. In my blog at KapelkaTravel.com you'll find information about visiting these five islands, and suggestions for some other islands in this part of the lagoon. Here's the link: wp.me/p7Ew5G-24B

Erg mooi gemaakt Heleen. Leuk en interessant. Jammer dat de basiliek op Torcello gesloten was!
