1. Learn 5 pillars 6 articles of faith
2. Learn how to pray
3. Read the Quran with a mentor
4. Know that the Quran was revealed over 23 years and it will take you time to learn be patient with yourself.
And when you study all this than put the fake book in the trash bin

Alhamdulillah I think all of us who are reverts have experienced this, including myself. Fortunately for myself (I've been Muslim for nearly 30 years Masha'Allah) and my advice to new Muslims is to study this Deen and ask questions to an Imam or Scholars for further understanding

As narrated in Sahih al Bukhari from Abu Hurairah, is as follows:
قال قام أعرابي فبال في المسجد فتناوله الناس فقال لهم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم دعوه وهريقوا على بوله سجلا من ماء أو ذنوبا من ماء فإنما بعثتم ميسرين ولم تبعثوا معسرين
A Bedouin stood up and urinated in the Masjid. The people reproached him and the Prophet salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said, “Leave him and pour a bucket of water over his urine. You were sent as facilitators of ease, and not to make things difficult.”

I told lies before unfortunately. But I do not want to and I do not like to tell lies and I do not have the best of character. But ALHUMDUL LILLAH There is a ayah in the Quran that states that when a person with bad character tells you news you should verify it.
I know of a Hadith that states that any good deed a person encourage he will be rewarded as if he did that good.(it is a authentic Hadith)

My advice to new Muslim stick to the Quran alone don’t complicate things . Allah gave us the perfect kitab. 4:174
﴾ ١٧٤ ﴿ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدۡ جَاۤءَكُم بُرۡهَـٰنࣱ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَأَنزَلۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡكُمۡ نُورࣰا مُّبِینࣰا
﴾ 174 ﴿ O you (Yaa Ayyuha) mankind (En'Naasu), a proof (Bur'haanun) has (Qad') come to you (Jaa'a-kum) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum'), and (Wa) We have revealed (Anzal'naa) to you (ilai'kum') a clear (Mubiinaa) light (Nuuran). (23:117)
You’re making it ok for Muslims to make and plus music because it’s a matter of opinion? SubhanAllah. When did the prophet ﷺ make it permissible?

Islam as dictated by God in the Quran does not recognise any such group referred to as “the companions” let alone their reports.
You can’t just mute God Almighty and give the authority to determine what is Islam to men!
Be honest, you’re a sect according to your own standards and stop claiming to speak for ISLAM. You speak for sunnism don’t shy away from that.
