Mihawk and zoro master student. Zoro did use the same observation haki that mihawk use during marineford. Directly locate/track something/someone pinpoint ... Now it's nasujuro who use the same type of observation haki locate/track to pinpoint something/someone directly. Nasujuro mihawk master student connection?it's also indicate that mihawk have the same eye power like Saturn. A glance that can kill. Are all the gorosei is mihawk's mentor during his young age to early teen...mihawk speak like gorosei/celestial dragon you only able to adapt that kind of speaking if mihawk is with them from his childhood. So far in the story it's mihawk zoro and now nasujuro the only people that use that kind of observation haki pinpoint locating/tracking type. Master student dynamic as a hint from oda maybe! If the gorosei legit don't have a df but actual demons/yokai. then zoro's words about s-hawk more human than mihawk is legit a hint from oda that mihawk is not really human. Thinking about it now maybe Oda wanted Zoro to fight lucci to show zoro can keep up with fast opponents since we know lucci is fast definitely his awakened form and since st. Ethan does have speed to say hey zoro can go against him even if he’s fast that was probably the whole point of lucci’s fight

I think Zoro used conquers. So far from I’ve seen he has about 4 levels to his haki Level 1: overuse of armament flowing into his blades (beginning against Lucci) Level 2: flowing conquers into his swords (against Lucci in the end) Level 3: overuse of armament and flowing conquers into his swords (King of Hell against King) Level 4: overuse of armament and overuse of conquers (King of Hell three sword serpent which is a stronger version of his regular King of Hell to finish King)

I think the Strawhats separating makes sense especially how they are setting it up. Luffy will likely leave/be saved by the Giant Pirates and the Strawhats will probably all leave together and could mirror Sabaody Archipelago, which this arc seems to do a fair bit, in that they'll meet again in a few Days, but for real this time in Elbaf or wherever they can.
Sorry for the late reply, somebody tagged me earlier but I haven't got time to reply. So here's what I thought but please forgive my English, and the way I tell the story, because it might ended up as some random thoughts in my head about One Piece story which also came because I love the story. I just found it interesting that the way Gorosei are summoned reminded me the way an Onmyoji summoned their shikigami or tamed spirits. The stars symbol on the ground when the Gorosei are summoned is also closely resemble an Onmyodo symbol, and also a symbol that is closely related to one of the most famous Onmyoji of Heian era, Abe No Seimei. There is also this famous ritual in Onmyodo called Taizan Fukun no Sai which is very similar to Immortality operation from Ope Ope No Mi, that basically granted an immortality to a designated person with a price of another person live. A life for a life. Which of course given the historical or mythological context, may only be performed for important figures in history, someone like emperor or something, and can only be performed by a great Onmyoji. Abe clan is probably one of the clan who are guarding the secret of the ritual. So, if Imu themselves are not a real Akuma or some yokai which are related to Umi (sea) in Japanese, for example, an Umibozu (a drowned spirit of a priest), or an Umidebito (a prophetic kind of Yokai who deliver prophecies of bountiful harvest, or devastating illness), my other guess would lean toward Imu themselves as an evil but powerful Onmyoji who just wants to rule the world. Although I am not sure why? Or, Imu supposed to represent the first royalty of world government who just can't get enough of the feeling of being in power so they want to rule forever. Who knows? By the way, Emperor Jimmu legend is also interesting since he is known as one of the children of Tamayori Hime, who is one of the daughter of the King of the Sea. She is a Wani (dragon). Reminds me of Wano as well. Although Kaido is an Azure Dragon, who is more closely related to sky and all since he also fly, he is probably inspired by one of the guardian deities along the Red Phoenix, Black Turtle, and White Tiger, but dragons in many asian cultures are also often seen as the rulers of seas (Umi), body of water, rain, etc. The Dragon King lives in Ryugu Palace. Dragons are also common theme in One Piece since we have Celestial Dragons, Queen Otohime, Luffy's father name, the God of Rain, etc. One piece is an amazing story that also contains a lot of symbolic messages about justice and humanity, including the ugly side of humanity. Which is also kind of spiritual in a way for an asian reader. I believe that Oda Sensei is also inspired by a lot of stories from many cultures and teaching around the world, especially Japanese folklore or Shinto, and Buddhist mythologies. We have many name like Enma, Ashura, and Impel Down which literally represent Jigoku (hell) and its different layers. We literally see Oni, Giants, and Legend of Deities in the story, which tell us how amazingly beautiful the world that was created if only everyone can get along or justice is really there, but unfortunately there isn't. So maybe the arrival of Nika who is literally the Sun God will bring Dawn to the world of One Piece. Since the arrival of Dawn represent the darkness are finally gone, and when the Dawn came, most yokai, akuma, demons, or any other evil spirits are also gone and hide because they can't live under the Sun.
my projection is Zorro is going to end and there will be an arc where the straw hats will have to go into the afterworld to get him back this all ties in with Valhalla and soldiers dying in battle & the straw hats are going to a new realm. I think the gorosei were part of Joyboy's crew and Imu was the captain or vice versa. I also think Zuneisha was a part of the crew like Laboon is for Luffy.

What makes this so crazy, is that this is just a small glimpse of their power. Since its either them and the God Knights or the Blackbeard Pirates that will be the final antagonists of the series. And i am heavily leaning on Imu being the final villain, consider we haven't even gotten his reveal. While we just got the reveal of Blackbeard's plan from Van Auger. All we are missing is the path to that goal. But with Imu, we don't know anything other than a Great Cleansing. Which makes me even wonder if Imu is even older than 800 years and has been doing this for countless cycles. Like the Reapers from Mass Effect. And it also hypes the God Knights to a whole other level too. Since the Gorosei got deployed before the God Knights. Which at the same time hypes Dragon. Since he said he will only mobilize once the God Knights are Deployed. And if we consider Kuma's arrival to Mariejois. The Marines have already deployed Akainu. So the Top Marine is almost ready to join the frey, yet the God Knights haven't been called. The man that scarred Whitebeard. Garling has probably trascended his Swordsmanship. Garling to Mihawk - You can keep the title of Greatest Swordsman in the World, but i am the Greatest Swordsman in History. I spit on Ryuma's name.

Nusjuro's is just the flesh hanging from the Bakotsu and Ju Peter's mustache resembles the open mouth of the Sand Wyrm and the beard potentially the body

While i liked the fact that it ended with a gag i don't like that Oda legit had Sanji call out that Zoro was stalling and putting everyone in danger, like Oda knew it was whack to stall Zoro in that way but did it anyway. It makes Zoro look bad seeing how dangerous the situation was, he could have helped protect Stella or like Sanji and Franky helped the others escape to give Luffy more breathing room against Saturn but was just messin around apparently. Like i don't understand, was Zoro just being stupid and Lucci was just a joke that Oda let cook for way too long or was this a fight that was closer than it seemed?

I got the suspicion that the 5 Elders will be called off by Imu, there might be a bit of fighting/struggle here which will leave Luffy somewhat hurt. Imu will tell them to return to Mary Geoise immediately because someone infiltrated the pangea castle. I see no other way for the SH to get out of this situation. And Vegapunks message will get out which will force the Gorosei & Imu to take action - probably wiping off more countries (like Lulusia) that know about the message
They have devil fruits. I'm done with the speculation when all 5 have the smoke clouds on their shoulders, just like Rob Lucci, so they're all awakened too. Saturn is a bull spider demon, and in depictions of that particular being it has a human like face will bull horns. Science and defense gorosei, spiders webs are a little defensive if they hold you down like his did to Sanji and crew before Kuma hit him. To me he'd be a good matchup for Franky and Chopper, tech and skills vs 8 poisoned legs and the temper of a bull like Chopper used to have when he went to monster point. Mars is Quetzalcoatl basically, and I still think it will go after Morgans air ship. But in the story of Itsumade it is shot down by an archer, so maybe Usopp does something big? Mars is the environmental gorosei, so Nami and Usopp make sense. Warcury is a war pig, also interesting because Oden slew a boar. (Sabbath fans, War Pigs?) Could be Sanji's match up, being justice Gorosei and being #3. Sanji has too many ties to the underworld and Zepp too, justice would want him. V Nus is the pale horseman/centaur of death from revelations. "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."(V Nus the Horseman of Death versus Zoro the King of Hell?) Also one of rhe horsemen have scales, V Nus is commerce Gorosei. And that leaves Jupiter as a Sand Wyrm. Interesting idea maybe from Dune or Mongolian death wyrm, and I'm curious how he'd do against Pizarro who can become and island with a Ju Peter wyrm inside. I don't know if I like Ju Peter vs Luffy. (Assuming Ju Peter recovers from the Giants cutting his head off, and releasing Luffy from his throat) Agriculture would be fitting for Luffy, because the man hates wasted food, but idk it's weird he is like a mix of Crocodile and that mole woman Ms Merry Christmas from Baroque Works, or thecookie cutter shark Fishman Daruma who went underground against Usopp on Fishman Island. Maybe it teaches Luffy to expand his haki/G5 abilities to the whole island?

Just because there is ONE thing common between the gorosei and awakened devil fruits, it does not mean they are the same thing, just like a car and a skateboard both have 4 wheels.
@giwrgospetrou1159 the black smoke most likely means devil fruits, but again I could see Imu with some sort of ability to power them up too like summoning circles and eternal life. They could also just be "nightmare/dream" beings or something Imu created and gave Devil Fruits, but those smoke scarves mean devil fruit are involved like it does with most of the awakened fruits have who have them(Kaku and Lucci both do, on that island). Maybe they're some sort of haki beings manipulated by Imu even, black lightning used to appear with Rogers/Whitebeard or other superpowers fighting right with conquerors haki right? There are devil fruits involved, but they came out in fully demonic forms from the summoning circles so that was likely just the reveal of what they are in full zoan mode.
I think splitting up Strawhat top fighters from the group in begining of Elbaf would be a good idea. They haven't gotten a lot of love lately and this will help them not just grow but prove they belong on a yonko crew. If Loki is an obvious problem on the island, Luffy would immediately attack him. To our lower tier fighters that may not be the best or as easy of an option. Not being giants, they will not be able to blend in like they did on Wano either. So they may be challenged more than if the monster trio was with them. It may give us a breather to relax after the end of this arc as well.

At this point its almost Confirmed that they dont have a Devil Fruit. Usually when oda give the Name card for Devil Fruit it say The full name of the Devil fruit, but here its just introduces them as the Yokai themselves. They are straight up Demons

Possibly, but I think there are other explanations as well. The panels they were introduced on were so tiny, it would be a lot of words to fit. Or what I kind of think is that their devil fruits/powers r very closely linked to Imu's. Maybe the same model, etc. So oda didn't want to spoil Imu's power early by revealing the gorosei's.

Dawn and Dusk did a good video on the Gorosei powers other day. Based on Oda's explanation of Brooke's powers and the existence of an underworld and Brooke somehow drawing powers from there, and it being very similar to the Gorosei.

Black lightning seems to derive from the will of the devils (the ones who’s will became the fruit) this would explain Zoros Ashura (would be an embodiment of Zoros will and constant dance with death) and his black lightning etc / and if the gorosei don’t have fruit powers , it’s because they’re devils from the time of pre-devil fruits. This would also explain the cloud halos behind their head or scarves.

I said Zoro would have had to either open he’s eye , turn one of the blades black or start using kings haki on the same level luffy did with kaido. The main reason the cut Zoro gave kaido was not lethal is because he lacked the use of kings haki . He took out lucci in awakened form without putting his bandanna on , if you pay attention the black lighting was around the attack.
Imagine Brook helping Zoro train to cut the chill of the underworld to prepare for fighting the skeletal horse. Zoro figured out Kinemon's Fire Fox Style, which can cut and produce flames. He's used the ability to cut fire, but hasn't used much producing of fire. The yokai the skeletal horse is based on is the ghost of a horse that died by fire, so perhaps Zoro will return it to the grave with more fire.

I think the Strawhats separating makes sense especially how they are setting it up. Sorry for the late reply, somebody tagged me earlier but I haven't got time to reply.
So here's what I thought but please forgive my English, and the way I tell the story, because it might ended up as some random thoughts in my head about One Piece story which also came because I love the story.
I just found it interesting that the way Gorosei are summoned reminded me the way an Onmyoji summoned their shikigami or tamed spirits. The stars symbol on the ground when the Gorosei are summoned is also closely resemble an Onmyodo symbol, and also a symbol that is closely related to one of the most famous Onmyoji of Heian era, Abe No Seimei. There is also this famous ritual in Onmyodo called Taizan Fukun no Sai which is very similar to Immortality operation from Ope Ope No Mi, that basically granted an immortality to a designated person with a price of another person live. A life for a life. Which of course given the historical or mythological context, may only be performed for important figures in history, someone like emperor or something, and can only be performed by a great Onmyoji. Abe clan is probably one of the clan who are guarding the secret of the ritual.
So, if Imu themselves are not a real Akuma or some yokai which are related to Umi (sea) in Japanese, for example, an Umibozu (a drowned spirit of a priest), or an Umidebito (a prophetic kind of Yokai who deliver prophecies of bountiful harvest, or devastating illness), my other guess would lean toward Imu themselves as an evil but powerful Onmyoji who just wants to rule the world. Although I am not sure why?
Or, Imu supposed to represent the first royalty of world government who just can't get enough of the feeling of being in power so they want to rule forever. Who knows?
By the way, Emperor Jimmu legend is also interesting since he is known as one of the children of Tamayori Hime, who is one of the daughter of the King of the Sea. She is a Wani (dragon). Reminds me of Wano as well. Although Kaido is an Azure Dragon, who is more closely related to sky and all since he also fly, he is probably inspired by one of the guardian deities along the Red Phoenix, Black Turtle, and White Tiger, but dragons in many asian cultures are also often seen as the rulers of seas (Umi), body of water, rain, etc. The Dragon King lives in Ryugu Palace.
Dragons are also common theme in One Piece since we have Celestial Dragons, Queen Otohime, Luffy's father name, the God of Rain, etc.
One piece is an amazing story that also contains a lot of symbolic messages about justice and humanity, including the ugly side of humanity. Which is also kind of spiritual in a way for an asian reader. I believe that Oda Sensei is also inspired by a lot of stories from many cultures and teaching around the world, especially Japanese folklore or Shinto, and Buddhist mythologies. We have many name like Enma, Ashura, and Impel Down which literally represent Jigoku (hell) and its different layers.
We literally see Oni, Giants, and Legend of Deities in the story, which tell us how amazingly beautiful the world that was created if only everyone can get along or justice is really there, but unfortunately there isn't.
So maybe the arrival of Nika who is literally the Sun God will bring Dawn to the world of One Piece. Since the arrival of Dawn represent the darkness are finally gone, and when the Dawn came, most yokai, akuma, demons, or any other evil spirits are also gone and hide because they can't live under the Sun.

While i liked the fact that it ended with a gag i don't like that Oda legit had Sanji call out that Zoro was stalling and putting everyone in danger, like Oda knew it was whack to stall Zoro in that way but did it anyway. It makes Zoro look bad seeing how dangerous the situation was, he could have helped protect Stella or like Sanji and Franky helped the others escape to give Luffy more breathing room against Saturn but was just messin around apparently. They have devil fruits. I'm done with the speculation when all 5 have the smoke clouds on their shoulders, just like Rob Lucci, so they're all awakened too.
Saturn is a bull spider demon, and in depictions of that particular being it has a human like face will bull horns. Science and defense gorosei, spiders webs are a little defensive if they hold you down like his did to Sanji and crew before Kuma hit him. To me he'd be a good matchup for Franky and Chopper, tech and skills vs 8 poisoned legs and the temper of a bull like Chopper used to have when he went to monster point.
Mars is Quetzalcoatl basically, and I still think it will go after Morgans air ship. But in the story of Itsumade it is shot down by an archer, so maybe Usopp does something big? Mars is the environmental gorosei, so Nami and Usopp make sense.
Warcury is a war pig, also interesting because Oden slew a boar. (Sabbath fans, War Pigs?) Could be Sanji's match up, being justice Gorosei and being #3. Sanji has too many ties to the underworld and Zepp too, justice would want him.

And that leaves Jupiter as a Sand Wyrm. Interesting idea maybe from Dune or Mongolian death wyrm, and I'm curious how he'd do against Pizarro who can become and island with a Ju Peter wyrm inside. I don't know if I like Ju Peter vs Luffy. (Assuming Ju Peter recovers from the Giants cutting his head off, and releasing Luffy from his throat) Agriculture would be fitting for Luffy, because the man hates wasted food, but idk it's weird he is like a mix of Crocodile and that mole woman Ms Merry Christmas from Baroque Works, or thecookie cutter shark Fishman Daruma who went underground against Usopp on Fishman Island. @@BlackLotus30 glad to have your opinion, but in the same arc where Lucci and Kaku both have those same black smoke rings around them it's actually a safe bet the gorosei have devil fruit. How Imu powers them up is a good question, but still just devil fruit in some way.
@@Pickn4Gold what if that black cloud originates from the devils themselves, and awakened devil fruits have the same trait? Just because there is ONE thing common between the gorosei and awakened devil fruits, it does not mean they are the same thing, just like a car and a skateboard both have 4 wheels.

@giwrgospetrou1159 the black smoke most likely means devil fruits, but again I could see Imu with some sort of ability to power them up too like summoning circles and eternal life.
They could also just be "nightmare/dream" beings or something Imu created and gave Devil Fruits, but those smoke scarves mean devil fruit are involved like it does with most of the awakened fruits have who have them(Kaku and Lucci both do, on that island). Maybe they're some sort of haki beings manipulated by Imu even, black lightning used to appear with Rogers/Whitebeard or other superpowers fighting right with conquerors haki right?
There are devil fruits involved, but they came out in fully demonic forms from the summoning circles so that was likely just the reveal of what they are in full zoan mode.
I think splitting up Strawhat top fighters from the group in begining of Elbaf would be a good idea. They haven't gotten a lot of love lately and this will help them not just grow but prove they belong on a yonko crew.
If Loki is an obvious problem on the island, Luffy would immediately attack him. To our lower tier fighters that may not be the best or as easy of an option. Not being giants, they will not be able to blend in like they did on Wano either. So they may be challenged more than if the monster trio was with them. It may give us a breather to relax after the end of this arc as well.

Possibly, but I think there are other explanations as well. The panels they were introduced on were so tiny, it would be a lot of words to fit.
Or what I kind of think is that their devil fruits/powers r very closely linked to Imu's. Maybe the same model, etc. So oda didn't want to spoil Imu's power early by revealing the gorosei's.

Dawn and Dusk did a good video on the Gorosei powers other day. Based on Oda's explanation of Brooke's powers and the existence of an underworld and Brooke somehow drawing powers from there, and it being very similar to the Gorosei.

Black lightning seems to derive from the will of the devils (the ones who’s will became the fruit) this would explain Zoros Ashura (would be an embodiment of Zoros will and constant dance with death) and his black lightning etc / and if the gorosei don’t have fruit powers , it’s because they’re devils from the time of pre-devil fruits. This would also explain the cloud halos behind their head or scarves.
Crazy one gorosei could have ended the one piece before the timeskip. Pacifistas were beyond tough back then.

I said Zoro would have had to either open he’s eye , turn one of the blades black or start using kings haki on the same level luffy did with kaido. The main reason the cut Zoro gave kaido was not lethal is because he lacked the use of kings haki . He took out lucci in awakened form without putting his bandanna on , if you pay attention the black lighting was around the attack.

Imagine Brook helping Zoro train to cut the chill of the underworld to prepare for fighting the skeletal horse.
Zoro figured out Kinemon's Fire Fox Style, which can cut and produce flames. He's used the ability to cut fire, but hasn't used much producing of fire. The yokai the skeletal horse is based on is the ghost of a horse that died by fire, so perhaps Zoro will return it to the grave with more fire.
The whole time I'm seeing the Gorosei in thinking about Sabo who single handley met these monsters and lived to tell the tale.
