I am finally able to get outside and test the 58 Meg for accuracy. 4500 psi fill 5 to 6 shots for testing. The 400 and 460 were the best, followed up by the round balls, sabot and hollow base.
Those sabots were designed for the zeus .58 and needed a little more power to tear them from the bullet then the megalodon has, I will send you some with a easy tear design for slower speeds and they should be more accurate and cast the sabot at about 10 yards from the barrel!
Hornady swaged round ball .495 cycles like a dream through the .50 caliber Meg. , excellent for plinking. Unless you’re making those as well, I was thinking you did just slugs. I’m going to have to get one of those bottle set ups. I already have a nitrogen bottle for a tig welder, it’s a smaller sized portable bottle, I guess I could use it maybe. Notice how hot that sun feels, our magnetic field is down in strength by 25 percent or more, because of the excursion. That sun umbrella you were using would be good to stay under that as much as you can. I would love to find some sabots for the 50 caliber Meg, something that would hold a 357 slug and fit the .495 Megalodon. I have no issue using the rifle single shot.
If i have a .45 cal sam yang.and it was completely rebuilt by Will piatte. Who has since past. Very nice gun and a beautiful trigger I shoot round balls now, what would you recommend out of you ammo for me to try at 100 yards.
