    I have the pet version and the long hairs foul up under the brush guard. They get that tight it stops the brush from rotating and puts pressure and strain on motor and belt. Had to make a hook to help remove some of the hairs or it would have burnt the motor out.
    After this I cannot fault the Shark and for anyone who does not have long haired pet it is a great vacuum.

    Since no one has posted a video about the NV800C, I will comment that I love it, it sucks up way more than a Dyson, its light enough and goes together with 3 clicks. If you have reviewed it somewhere else, thats great. So many models!

    In the floor heads narrow because it’s a speed to get under things and around things

    It may not have powered stair tool. However the handle will click on to the vacuum head for a super large stair tool. It gets the job done even faster.

    Love the more narrow glide path on this model as well as the speed features (weight). Do you know of any other Shark models, outside of 800/802 that are similar?

    Bought the NV801 last week, after using it once I can see hair wrapped around the anti hair wrap brush head . Is this normal?

    I agree with the bit of weight while pushing this around- its still light by normal standards though. I actually hold the lift away (detached) in my left hand and operate the brushroll with the other- a lot easier than leaving it attached IMO. *the smaller, speed model that is

    I just bought an NV801 from Kohls today. The tool you show that "comes with it" is not the same. Not only is it not powered but it has no rotating brush whatsoever not even suction powered. It just has brush bristles attached to the 4 edges.

    If you don’t have pets, do you still recommend the motor powered pet tool? I realize it can also be used on upholstery, stairs, and hard to reach places on hardwood floors and carpets, etc.

    Would you be able to purchase the motorized pet hair tool (say from amazon) from the NV752 and use it on the NV801. Is the motorized pet brush interchangeable from vacuum to vacuum? -thanks

    Great in-depth review. I also watched the things you LIKED about the NV801 - so I’m including those thoughts too.
    Question: would the motorized pet tool for the NV752 work on the NV801? Are the connections totally different?

      Hi David. We've checked and unfortunately the motorized tool that comes with the NV752 will not fit onto the handle or wand of the NV801. Both the electrical connection and the diameter of the tubing is different.

    Hey there Mr. Nigel. Its been a while since I've seen your reviews. I really liked this one and found that this is a really great machine, but is compact. It is not as powerful as your maroon shark powered lift away and is definitely not as powerful as the 2016 shark navigator powered lift away deluxe 3-in-1 (the unit is purple with a large dirt collection bin. Perhaps it might be a good idea to look at it on amazon. Its cheap, very powerful, and might even beat the dyson ball animal 2). Anyways, great review combo

      Thanks for the info YBV. I checked these out on Amazon and they are getting fairly good reviews. Haven't tried one out yet. Maybe will have a chance in the near future. Yeah - I remember the name V. Scott from other comments.

    My 801 died before a year. The power roller will no longer turn. Yes it has been cleaned. The roller is jambed. The company won't replace unless you pay 89 dollars. I did buy a extended protection plan from Lowe's, thank god. I am unsure on what to buy next.

    I need your help or opinion in choosing a vacuum, Sam's club currently has a discount on several vacuums, my house is one level, about 2500 sqft, all tile, which vacuum should I get, the Shark Duo clean that you're reviewing on this video or the Dyson ball total clean, I plan on using it also to clean under furniture and dust blinds, thank you for your videos

    I'd like to point out that is worst type of pet hair being used. Cats (long hair cats are the absolute worst and looks like the example in the vid) and dogs with long hair may clog those rolls, but short haired breeds are a non issue- coming from a house with an english mastiff and 2 bull terriers.

      Hi Pat. We found a motorized pet tool on the Shark website that apparently works with the 801: www.sharkclean.com/parts/0/all/1738/mini-motorized-brush/
      This is not the same unit that comes with the Shark NV752. The NV752 uses this: www.sharkclean.com/parts/0/all/1331/mini-motorized-brush/

    I have the shark powered lift away true pet, same exact one you have in the middle, do you think it would be worth upgrading to a model With due clean? Do you find it is more powerful? Thanks in advance

    • @VacuumAdvisor
      @VacuumAdvisor  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think the NV801 is more powerful - has more suction - than the NV752 (although we haven't done the test). We like the NV752 and if you already have it I don't really see the need to move to DuoClean Technology. The Technology is nice on some hard flooring as it helps pick up stuck-on dust (and it helps with a few other things as well) but if that is not a big issue I wouldn't be in any hurry to change machines. The NV752 has a lot of nice features and, in our opinion, cleaning performance is pretty good. We did a review of the NV752 as well: th-cam.com/video/jr7XIXPjifA/w-d-xo.html

      Have you tried attaching the power head of the NV800 to a NV700? Was wondering if I could buy just the power head with the Duoclean and use it with my NV752.

    the NV801 would be so much better if you could turn off each roller individually. having use of the front roller for hardwood only would be great and wouldn't risk wearing down hardwood unnecessarily. I'm very disappointed that Shark didn't make this an option.

  • @funkystuf23
    @funkystuf23 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The things complained about in this video are not justified, with such a heap of long dog hair you would go over it first with an open Nozzle, and then it would probably clog like any other vacuum.. the animal hair attachment is for imbedded hair, it’s like shaving a head with long hair- you trim and then shave, and as for complaining about it toppling over when wanting to do the sofa with an attachment- the obvious and simple solution- which you also show when doing the stairs ( it detaches ). Yes .. one of the main features for when You are not vacuuming the floor, it detaches for ease of movement
