Dear Mark - Thank you for the review, I loved it and your review further reinforced my thoughts on the NX500. I am a late comer to riding bikes, passed my learners permit at 64 years of age and have read/viewed 100's of reviews on all sorts of makes and models for learners or A2 compliant. From my investigations to date, have only seen one review of the NX500 in which the presenters didn't like the bike, all other reviews have been extremely positive & everyone seems to love the Honda NX500. I suppose beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but how could so many people get it wrong, 99.9% of reviewers love the NX500, & me too. I currently ride a small Honda GB350 and was told the NX500 was to be released for Australia in June 2024, sadly this was postponed and the new date is Sep 2024, I hope so. So I am probably biased, however after reading and watching so many presenters who love the NX500, I can't wait to get mine, white colour by the way. Once again thank you, look forward to your next video.

I am 80 years old and currently have done 56,000 km on my 2018 Suzuki VStrom 650 XT.
I love the V strom however I am beginning to think that going forward I would be better off with a lighter bike, with a lower center of gravity, mainly from a ground handling point of view.
The 500 NX is not available in Australia yet, and probably won’t get it until about September.
I am concerned that it will feel like a small little bike after I am so used to the VStrom.
Guess I should test ride the 500 CBX to see how it rides. My mate had an earlier model CBX500, with the single front wheel disc , and I didn’t like it. It felt very small after the VStrom, however as I am getting older I think I will have no option. Either a lighter bike or give up riding and I don’t want to do that.

Get the Honda Nx it is superb after i sold my Triump 900 Rally Pro i could be more happy and i am 64 year and i like it small and good for my age it is a Cfmoto 450 MT too to look for actuallly but since they are not available then i get the 500 Honda instead!

I have the 500 NX and i am 64 year old and the bike is very good i change from a Triumph 900 Rally Pro and i don't regret it a bit less power but who need all the power anyway? i don't so this is a good bike but the foot rest is a bit to high so i get hurt in my legs if i drive to long time and the seat is like plank hard and unconfertable but either than that is a surperb bike!
So i guess i gonna sell it if i don't find any solution to the footrest and the seat issue!

@@eddale5557 I lowered my foot pegs and raised my handlebars on my VStrom 650.
It made a big difference to my riding position
The foot lowering kit came from America and I used Zeta risers which from memory lifted them up 25mm and back 30 mm
I also have an Air Hawk inflatable seat which is very comfortable. The trick is not too much air.

Another very good comprehensive review Mark,I tend to agree that the rear shock looks a tad on the soft side & as you state very spongy. I have the outgoing 500x 2022 model & I’am a bigger rider at just over 100kg. All that’s needed is a couple of clicks up on the rear shock preload and the jobs a good’un. Best wishes my Friend.

Seems like a great, do-anything little bike. Thanks for the review. If you don't mind feedback, all those extreme gopro 360-degree shots really don't add anything, they just make everything look very weird.

Thank you for an excellent review. The only thing that got to me was the weird views from the camera(s). Are you being shadowed by a MiniDrone? I got kinda-sorta "seasick" a few times and had to stop watching for a bit and come back. I am certain it is just my wimpy constitution and my aged digestive system as it also happens sometimes on other reviews I have watched. So hey...Is it a MiniDrone or is it Aliens?
Again, thank you for a really good review of a very nice motobike! I look forward to more! Your reviews are informative with a touch of humor and I find that refreshing.

Hi, it's a 360 camera on a pole. Sorry about the seasickness, will remember to turn on the stabilisation next time so don't have to try and correct it in edit. One problem of coming away from Gopro, they stabilised automatically.

In Serbia 🇷🇸 the price is 8000€ and I think it is to much for a 500cc, and is for me also a small bike!! I am 1,82cm tall...but somehow small...So I buy the new Kove 510x with almost all accessories for less money and the same engine 😎, will be nice to see your review on the Kove 510x 👍 Cheers ✌️

I'm not one that would normally talk about conspiracy theories, but I can't help but feel there is a trend with new bikes and even cars to be overpriced and totally devoid of any emotional feeling whilst riding or driving. Is it just the constant drive to reduce emissions or do they really just not want us to actually enjoy riding / driving any more? Not even sure why I even watch new bike reviews anymore, I guess I just live in hope that someone will actually bring something out that we all think Wow, now that looks different, I bet that would be exiting to ride, obviously not going to happen in the current Woke world we live in! I'll just keep riding my old Moto Guzzi and CX500, these are real bikes with lots of flaws and character that actually make you feel like you're still alive. I think I would actually have to check I still had a pulse after riding something like that NX500 and that's from someone who actually appreciates the fact that Honda make good quality bikes. Thank you for the videos, I do actually enjoy them, I guess I prefer your reviews on the older more affordable 2nd hand bikes.

I was having a peek at the used bike market I think the prices have come down a little, anyways IMO it's hard to justify almost £7k when you can find things like Bandit 1250 (even with luggage), CB1000r etc for £3-5k, it's a good bike but just doesn't seem worth it. I did see a new Versys and Vstrom for £6.8k and a Tracer7 for a little more which I think are good value in today's market the NX is creeping a little too close to them in price now.....

I like the look of the new NX the CBX was a bit fugly. The Speed 400 would be nice too great price great engine if you are ok with a single.

@@podunkman2709 I have no idea why you put the motorcycle in comas. Yes,, I do compare bike for bike and based on the comment you haven’t seen any of them. The Chinese perception, we all use Chinese phones bud. We also use Chinese tv’s and any other equipment. With bikes no difference. I bought my boy zontes gk 125 as his go around and learn bike, no faults at all during 18months. Some of the Chinese brands are really good quality. With CF’s they use Kawasaki engines, brembo brakes, kyb suss, what’s wrong with that. All the electronics are Chinese anyway. Also, I went to Honda dealer over the weekend to look at the bike, and have to say that some of the plastics on the bike are cheap and flimsy, same way as the Chinese.

Lovely looking bike spoilt by the engine. I had a test ride a few weeks back and ended up with pins and needles in my right foot for two days. A horrible engine which many people seem to love though I have no idea why. I found the engine buzzy and it felt like the engine was revving far higher than it was.
I remember my test ride on the first 500s Honda released the 471cc engine many years ago and even back then I found the engine to be buzzy and nothing appears to have changed.
