While its not my go-to Shonen anymore, (right now i'm extremely into One Piece) it will always be special to me. This song is the embodiment of everything that I love about Dragon Ball. I almost want to take the concept of the original Dragon Ball and turn it into its own thing. We got a monkey kid with a brave heart and love for food searching for mystic dragon balls that grant you one wish with no limitations. Then you got other things, like a blue haired scientist girl who wants a boyfriend, a selfish desert bandit who grows into a character who sacrifices treasure and wealth for love. Everything about Dragon Ball is so mystic, and like the song implies, is a romantic adventure. DBZ and the rest of the Dragon Ball series that followed after the original’s ending is still good, but I want more of a mystical adventure, and discover more about this strange world.
Bulma is based on Tripitaka in Journey to the West, who is technically the main character, though Sun Wukong, the bases for Son Goku is based in, acts like and has more of a presence of a main character.
That's because we are now getting older, and having nostalgia by listening into this very nostalgic song making us wish to get back in our blissful, worryless and beautiful younger days...
