  • The Kissimmee Chain hosts many Bass tournaments throughout the year... Even on Wednesday mornings. In this video, we're fishing a 21 boat tournament out of the Kissimmee Chain's West Lake Toho in January 2021. January is pretty much the beginning of the spawning season for these Central Florida Bass. Fishing during the spawn can be good, but it can also be tricky. This day started out super foggy, and we had a cold front on the way in. They didn't bite at all for the first hour. Then, all of the sudden, we had a power hour of Bass fishing madness. We caught 16 fish for a 5 fish limit of 16.04 lbs., which was good enough for 3rd place. The only thing we were lacking was a kicker big fish to put us in the lead. All of our fish were caught on my 8" Pippin8'r (trick worm), with 15 lb mono, and a 1/4 Burnt Tungsten weight. They're sold at Big Toho Marina, and on our website at www.cpflures.com. Use code: CPF15 to save 15% on your next purchase.

Thing I learned most with this video on Lake Toho is the delay between the bite and setting the hook. Great video

Another nice video. Anyone watching needs to order some of your baits. The CPF Lures are not joke they work.

Nice video. I just restocked on the Thumper and the 8" worms. I have been killing it with both.

Got my CPF lures in the mail a few days ago.. Loving the shad jerk.. Got them in the TruShad color which is awesome by the way and no lie caught a 3ish pounder on my 2nd cast with it.. Got to fish it for an hour and caught 5 missed 2.. Haven't used the lizards or the pippin8rs yet since I was having so much luck with the jerk but I will get out this weekend and throw them around

Hey Chuck, good job on the tournament and video. FYI I have bought several CPF lures and they are good quality baits. Caught a 7 lb’r on the Thumper first time I tried it plus several smaller ones. Lately I have been catching several on the Wobbler. Good stuff. Hope you have continued success with CPF Lures and on the water.

Chuck, have you tried pouring Mountain Dew or a soda in the mouth of a gut hooked bass to stop the bleeding?
