We stayed at 'Black Cockatoo' campground which has shower and toilet facilities. Black Cockatoo campground also has a dump point.
Last time we stayed at Gordon Country, we stayed at 'The Island' which is a much more secluded area which is full self contained. There are no facilities at 'The Island'.

We stayed on Site 2 which is a beachfront site, the best beachfront site available.

If we did this campground again, we would opt for a beachfront site. Unfortunately it was the week leading up to the ANZAC Day long weekend so we were very limited to sites available. We were grateful to get a site at all at this campground as it is right on the beach and had incredible sunrises and sunsets. $50 a night for power and water.

We paid $40 a night for an incredible site on the top of the hill. When booking, ask for a site on the top of the hill.

Hey Just a professional driving tip. Drop your steering wheel height by an inch (or more) and you'll find it much more relaxing to drive over a longer period. Especially when your wife is driving!!! Your wrist would be lower than your shoulders. Don't believe me? Where are your wrists normally when standing? By your side. Circulation works best when in a normal position - wrists lower than you shoulders. Watch people who are driving longer than ½ hr. You notice they move their hands down to the bottom of the steering wheel. Why because it make s life more comfortable.

Hey guys, I’ve had Burrum shores on the list for us too! Obviously you said there had been abit of rain around then yous went, how bad was the entrance?

It had poured for a few days when we went through and as you can see it was pretty deep, you definitely need a 4x4 to get through at that depth but I am sure if there has been less rain it’ll be a lot better. The contact there is really great at communicating and can advise how it is when it comes to your stay. That’s what we did. Hope this helps :) safe travels!
