Hi Guys! I'm a big fan and have been to many shows and supported you through various crowd sourcing fundraisers. (My son even had a private singing lesson with Cody and loved it!) I'm wondering why you haven't added closed captioning to your videos? I am an American Sign Language Interpreter and I sometimes post videos on my Facebook page. However, I have many Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing friends and cannot in good conscience share anything that isn't captioned.
ColoradoD Great feedback! The thing mostly holding us back from this is... we don’t know how to do it. I’ll poke around and see if I can figure out how to add CC to our videos! We’re neck deep in finishing our Christmas album at the moment so it might not be for a month or so... but I’ll keep it on my radar. Thanks! (-S)
Thanks so much! You would be surprised how often Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing people attend concerts and enjoy music. When you get a chance you can simply use Google to find instructions explaining how to add CC. Here's one link: mediaaccess.org.au/web/how-to-caption-a-youtube-video
BTW -- You will not want to use the automated captions option as it tends to make MANY errors, some of them absolutely terrible. For accurate captions you'll want to use the DIY option.
