      Ashish Pant i know very well Ronie! They’re two different kind of player, R9 was a center-forward, more physical and goal oriented, you got the best of him letting him play as the last man of the team aka striker. Dinho was more of a winger or, in some cases, an offensive midfielder, you got his best by having him play just right below the striker. R9 was more physically dominant, he had the skills, he was incredibly agile and fast, super fast. Dinho was less stronger, had maybe more agility, but the thing that he had, over anyone I’ve witnessed, is the joy of playing football, and he’s so contagious that it’s amazing. Personal opinion, obviously, but to me it’s like you can tell, by the way he moves, how much he loved playing football and in this specific thing he’s the greatest to me

    • @Serenoj69
      @Serenoj69 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To me he will be remembered as a circusartist who may be got 70% out of what he could have achieved if he dropped the tricks. Ronaldo, who also was full of tricks (but rather less entertaining ones) dropped that within a few years after his rise to glory. Ronaldo always went for the very best and being extremely serious about his health,his performance etcetc. It is where ROnaldinho lost it. So to me when I see Ronaldinho I am not so happy, I see a player not being professional enough. I also disliked it a lot when he screwed up he always had that smile on his face. It became a gimmick. Btw: the most entertaining player I ever saw was Maradona because he had the best skills of anyone but always put them to good use. Not to show anything off (during the match). He was very serious, extremely dynamic and had so many variations in his skills that he on many occasions sursprised everyone. It is the player I like to watch on youtube the most.

He played the beautiful game beautifully, with a smile on his face, he didn't moan or act up when fouled, did his utmost to stay on his feet, and he regularly did the seemingly impossible. I played soccer for 13 years. I never wanted to go pro, (I actually went into acting and entertainment XD) but as half Brasilian I looked up to Ronaldinho from my mother telling the proper way to pronounce his name, to mimicking his moves on the field. I learned how to do, I think, the scissors move from watching him. I still remember my coach freak out screaming when he saw me juke a player with it. Pele, Ronaldo (brasil), Ronaldinho, Kaka (who my uncle trained in Brasil when he was in school), were my inspirations. I just wanted to play like them on the field. Being half Brasilian I think influenced that, lol. I don't know if I have any good footage of me playing between 1997-2012. VHS and all. haha. But man, I hope I can find a clip of me doing one of his moves.

      @magnus8168 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ronaldinho was my favorite player as a kid, but there is no argument to be made with respect to Messi. I took the time to look at the stats, and this is what I found:
      The best season of Ronaldinho at Barca was in the 2005/2006 campaign when he was 25 years old, and he scored 26 goals and 24 assists in 45 games, source www.transfermarkt.com/ronaldinho/leistungsdaten/spieler/3373/plus/0?saison=2005 .
      In contrast, Messi's worst performance is going to be this season, at 33 years old, and he already has 30 goals and 26 assists in only 42 games, source www.transfermarkt.com/lionel-messi/leistungsdaten/spieler/28003/plus/0?saison=2019 .
      So, 33-year-old Messi is better than 25-year-old Ronaldinho in his prime. Let that sink in for a moment.
      On the other hand, the best season of Ronaldo Nazario was during the 2003/2004 campaign at 27 years old, and he scored 31 goals and 13 assists. This is already fewer goals + assists than what Messi has in this (worst ever) season with fewer games. Also, I think Messi should reach 31 goals by the end of the season anyway.
      Again, old Messi beats prime Ronaldo Nazario.

      @@footballista2480 Thank you for the great clips and honest assessment of his talent and stature in the sport. However what some football fans may not be aware of was his final act of greatness. His return to the Brazilian League in his early thirties where he played for Flamengo and Atletico Mineiro. I used to go to my friend's house and we would watch the games live and witness his final years of greatness.

    This man started celebrating his goal, BEFORE he even scored.
    That's how determined, confident and good he was.

    I love the part he assisted Messi with the ball and then backed him afterwards ❤️
