Kind of. It's a relatively simple and straightforward job but the motor assembly doesn't want to come out or go back in with much ease.
Valeo 715048 is the part number for the OEM replacement. This part includes the blower motor resistor. BMW part number is 64119227670.
The vehicle in this video is a 2008 BMW 328it that has had the blower motor wire harness recall addressed.

did this today, turned out there was a bit of broken plastic stopping it spinning, removed and put back together and all working. I was having a nightmare trying to get it back in, removing the footwell ducting (literally pulls off a guide clip) makes it 10x easier. thanks for the vid.
Best tutorial I’ve ever seen, thank you For everyone else doing this job, use a marker for the position it sits before you remove and transfer the mark to the replacement. Got the job done in 30 minutes
Best tutorial out there. 5 years ago when I replaced the blower motor on my first E90, I was probably there for a good 20-30 minutes. This time it took me 10, taking my time.
One tip: take the air ducting and yank it down, it moves somewhat freely and gives you the extra room you need to wiggle the motor in/out

Mine stopped working. Had the recall a few years ago. Had no visible issues wrong. Took it out, sprayed contact cleaner all over motor, tested, reinstalled, works like a champ again.

Job done ! I just took mine off, found a tissue caught in the middle of the blower and took the opportunity to grease the bearings in the blowing motor. Now runs flawless. 👍 Thanks

That's good. Compared to so many cars, that looks so easy. The worst is the Volvo 240. I hope you don't have to do it. I have drilled a squirted one of my 240's the other I did the full replacement over a weekend.
