When I get to the Philippines to marry my Filipina is it easier to a lawyer to fix all my paperwork to get married in the Philippines

A good lawyer may help make the process a little less confusing, but there will still be a number of things that you will have to be physically present for to sign or collect.

Can you please tell me where my friend gets his letter of capacity to marry? He is leaving June 26 and we would like him to have everything he needs, as this is his 4th time going there to see her and would like to get married

Hello, assuming he is from the U.S...the U.S. does not provide a Certificate of Legal Capacity to Marry. Instead he must obtain an Affidavit in Lieu of Certificate of Legal Capacity to Marry. This is obtained by appointment only from either the U.S. Embassy in Manila or the U.S. Consular Agency in Cebu City. @@SallyRichards-pj3rk No they are different. CENOMAR is a separate document that proves that he has not been married before in the Philippines. Both he and his fiance will need to get their CENOMAR at the local Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) office when he gets to the Philippines.
