Brisbane Footy Show Files: QLD Finally Win The Shield

It was the 30th of March 1995 and victorious Shield cricketers Stuart Law and an under-the-weather and rather amusing Jimmy Maher joined the Brisbane Footy Show panel to dissect, discuss and even gloat about Queensland's first ever Sheffield Shield victory. The Bulls had just downed South Australia in the final to break a 69-year drought in search for the Shield. Preceding the panel chat, Shirley Strachan does 'Street Beat' from the Queen Street Mall in Brisbane on the day of the Queensland ticker tape parade.

It has, but it was great to see a well populated Allan Border Field (Neumann Oval) for the Shield final over the last few days. Even better to see QLD romp it in.
