When he takes a solo it's like I'm watching a sports person do something amazing... Like I'm sat here hands together just begging him to keep going and put everything he's got into the next lick
Man I was just thinking I wish that around 6 mins or 6:10 I wanted them to, like John's called it before, "go all Allman on it" and have a two part, harmonizing guitar solo for a few bars with the other guy who played that sweet solo (edit: oh yes, now I remember his name is Isiah Sharkey). That would've been awesome, although yeah, the way they did it, great solos all around.
Let’s settle down, just a bit. John is very very good. The amount of sheer time Duane had was very limited. Duane is still revered as one of the all time greats to this Day. He was 25 in 71’.

I love the vibe Aaron Sterling brings to the band. He's my favourite of John's drummers. Obviously, if there's a trio set, I want none other than SJ behind the kit. But nowadays with all of the folksy songs John does, Aaron is a much better fit. Aaron has a phenomenal "producer's ear" and really knows to listen and play to what the song needs. His guitar for the solo is my favorite sound! He uses it in several songs and I dies every time. What kind of guitar is it, and how does it get that sound?
I wish that John would realize that moving away and then a second later back to the microphone - shaking a guitar trying to emulate a " vibrato " note and constantly giving " a nod " to the left are simply not necessary or attractive things that a musician of his caliber should be doing. He finally stopped the " bounce " antic - why not these other antics John ? YOU DON'T NEED THEM IN YOUR SHOW. Just be you and keep writing / performing legendary music John. THAT is enough !
Wait what's wrong with all of this lol, shaking the guitar provides the vibrato so why should not he,it's part of playing. And he should keeping jumping around as long as his legs allow loll 😂
