- The Jagannath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Jagannath, a form of Vishnu in Hinduism. It is located in Puri in the state of Odisha, situated on the eastern coast of India.
Puri Shri Jagannath Temple....The 75 metre-long corridor of the SJHC surrounding the Meghanad Pacheri is broadly divided into nine zones on the northern, southern and western side. These include: Green Buffer Zone: This is located adjacent to the Meghanad Pacheri.
The project also provides ample facilities and amenities for pilgrims and visitors to give them a hassle-free and memorable experience, and for strengthening the safety and security of the temple and the devotees. It has been constructed at a cost of ₹3,600 crore.
Construction began in November 2021, and was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on 17 January 2024.
The temple is famous for its annual Ratha Yatra, or chariot festival, in which the three principal deities are pulled on huge and elaborately decorated raths, or temple cars.
The four doors grant entry to the Jagannath Temple. These four doors are symbolically represented by four animals - lion, tiger, horse, elephant. The Lion's Gate or Simha Dwar is the main entrance to the Jagannath Temple.

How to Reach: Puri is well connected by Train, Bus with major cities.
Nearest Railway station is Puri . Bhubaneswar or Khuda road other nearby stations. One can also reach Puri after arriving in Bhubaneswar or Khuda road by train or hired car , if direct train not available till Puri.
Nearest Airport is Bhubaneswar Biju Pattnaik International Airport.
