Hello, dearies! Allow me to present you a new song which I called ‘Carpe Diem’.
Once upon a time, you are walking in your favourite park, lost in thought. Monotonous days and gnawing routine make you question the point of existence. While you’re treading the beaten path, your mind wanders off to the lands of rare beauty, where eye can rejoice and soul can rest; to the place where virtues and justice are integral parts of the living matter; to the corners of the world where magic feels possible. A step, another step. Your feet turn around the corner, taking you down a narrow lane framed by nosy branches of weeping willows. They stroke your hair and brush against you face, as if welcoming you into their secret kingdom. When the unusual greeting stops, you find yourself on a peaceful bank of an old moat, that runs its tranquil green waters under the masterpiece of masonry, a covered viaduct, the tall stone walls of which could host a ball. You sit on the mossy ground by the roots of the willow, and lay back. You watch a beautiful swan making its graceful way through the water. Why is he all alone? Where is his mate, that he should bond for life with?
The wind rustles in the leaves, and the hour is still. Out of the corner of your eye you notice a movement on the bridge. Behind an arched window, there’s a figure hiding in the shadows. While you’ve been watching the bird, they’ve been watching you.
*_What about you, my lovelies, do you believe we should live in the moment? Should we think ahead and be more concerned about the future? Or maybe both? What path do you follow?_*
Very well put. I believe both appreciation of the moment but a look to the future is needed albeit the facets of the very nature of it representing unknown variables can make for a temptation to more or less stay gazing at the swan and pondering it and oneself for eternity. I will end with these two notes: first, it could be that I as the proverbial soul that may be, take deep solace in this moment, watching the swan and allowing the many questions to ruminate within my mind. But there is also the fact that someone has been watching me. "They"... such a word could encompass different meanings in this context.
Secondly, this is the third piece in a row you have presented that resonates to the point as if someone had been reading my mind and how i have felt since i was but a child. It is as if the music is speaking directly to me...
I guess it would be prudent to combine both. You have to enjoy what you have, be awake, but also think about tomorrow, 'cause it will come, and if you're not prepared, the future 'present' won't be enjoyable.

Yet for this moment, I stood at the edge of the bridge of a time that rung with the echoes of my true self and the rain fell upon me as if the skies above were delivering a shower to cleanse my woes of now and the whimpers of the future. I beheld the grace of the swan as it seems to gracefully glide by atop the water and in that moment...I was alive..."
