Got mine on Monday. So far I am LOVING it. 3s is fun for slow creeping and short bursts around a small back yard with occasional small wheelies on bouncy turf. It even sounds like a little kaiju monster. 4s is great for a medium front yard and driveway with runs up and down a side street. Plenty fast to get in trouble, but controllable. Wheelies on command and lots of torque. Can flip off a small ramp. Then there is 6s..... omfg Standing backflips and double to triple backflips on a ramp. Screaming rubber burning terror. I haven't actually done the double/triple backflips yet, just single and standing, but you can tell - and there are plenty of videos out there of people doing it. I am trying to not break it the first week because I love driving it so much and don't want to start waiting for parts already. haha But everything else I have done and am really impressed. The suspension is plush and limber and it looks super sweet as the whole thing undulates in a turn. When you land a jump anywhere close to 4 wheels is sinks down and absorbs it like it likes it and was meant to be jumped. It's hard to stop doing it over and over. However if you aren't careful and don't level it out it will tumble like a gymnast. It seems to usually end up on its feet and take the hits pretty well. I wouldn't recommend testing that on concrete too much without expecting some damage, but soft dirt or grass has been kind to mine so far. I did get a nice pavement pinstriping on my roof from my first hard launch on asphalt parking lot. Literally the first trigger pull after I got there. I had only gone about 50 feet with it before that just to make sure it was working in my driveway. I guess if there isn't any damage, you aren't having enough fun with it anyway. If you are on the fence about this one. Just get it. Something about it is special...
Watching this as I unbox it! Ordered it May 13 on Ebay from Nitro Hobbies. When ordering, the projected delivery date was May 18, which was going to be the next Monday, meaning I'd already have left for work and would have to wait until Friday to get it, 😣 (I work out of town). BUT, lo and behold, today is only Saturday and what do I discover on the front porch?? KAIJU!! THANKS TO NITRO HOBBIES AND FED EX!!!
6s with a Deans connector ? That's what caused the Team Associated Hoonigan car to be recalled. On 4s my Hobbywing max 8 pulls up to 120 amps. Deans plugs are rated for 40 amps. The Kaiju looks like a nice vehicle, and Redcat got some good ideas, but T plugs on a 6s truck is asking for your connectors to melt. You need at least an XT90 for 6s Deans don't have enough surface area for that kind of amp draw, temperature-wise. I ain't looking to have a lipo fire if those t plugs melt and fuse the + and - together. Pass.
Have had mine a week and yeah 10th scale body on 8.5 our 9th scale. I added sway bar kit 10mm wheel spacers moved bottom of shocks out to lower truck and its super sweet on the beach and sand dunes everywhere never rolled over . i added duel spring to my wheely bar put it way low. I only ran it on one good 3s lipo its all I need fir now till I learn to drive better . I literally put every stickers on it balanced out of yeah mine came stock with metal spur gear and thd beefier upper control arms. Love you videos and info you helped me decide on getting it ....thx bud

I tried 6s on mine on my 2nd run. UNreal! Found a 5s, 5000mah 25c turnigy on Amazon. 👍 for 47.00!

Here we go! I've got two of them 😂. More like a 1/9 scale. It's pretty much the same size as my Traxxas maxx 4s with the widemaxx kit.

Get a 4s lipo
4s seems to be the sweet spot for this, it's definitely a trick truck. 6s is too much and 3 isn't enough.
