As a foreigner, Simi Garewal is the most graceful, patient, charitable and intelligent interviewer I’ve had the pleasure to watch. This interview, only a few minutes with this man, makes me uncomfortable. And yet, she’s unflinchingly diplomatic and honest. A calm amidst a storm.

When i saw a heart given to your comment n pinned by Simi I felt she is also acknowledging to the "uncomfortable watching this man" thing in your comment. We as an audience have an opinion whether good or bad regarding guests on show... but as a host, Simi giving a heart to your comment(particularly the second part of your comment). Don't know if it's right. I'm an admirer of Simi and agree to what you've said in her praise. I understand that wonderful things youve said about Simi as a foreigner that earned you ❤️.

Mahesh Bhatt is a typical intellectual hypocrite. He spouts philosophy that supports his hedonistic lifestyle and treats people who love him like crap. This is one of the few interviews where Simi is rather icy to her guest and I applaud her for it.

I loved the combination of the the host & guest, their conversations complimented each other which made the entire episode have my utmost attention.
A person who cannot be a good father , a good husband etc can only say that all relationships are conditional, finance oriented .One sees the world the way he behaves with other individuals. Kudos to Simi Garewal to counter his ruthless statements. When humans take family and other relationships for granted , ultimately they are taken for granted , they are left behind all alone only because the way they have treated their loved ones and then they start calling out on people that people have left them alone.

what an amazingly well conducted interview. So much grace class, eloquence by Simi. She has a therapist like ability to engage and bring out her guests. Really a remarkable interviewer, in my opinion much better than even the famed Barbara Walters. I wish she would come back.
Clearly, he has a very dismissive avoidant attachment style. You can only rely on yourself, everyone else will abandon you, all relationships are about mutual gratification etc. His internal working model of himself and others is quite evident through what he says here. He also doesn't seem particularly supportive of Soni - doesn't seem like he makes a good partner or father - he's good at providing material possessions rather than emotional support.

I just found Simi's interviews and have been binge watching them as many of the stars were of my time growing up in India and it has been fascinating to hear their stories and Simi does look into their souls with her probing questions but with taste and sensitivity.
I read about Parveen Babi and was shocked about the way she died.

With Mahesh Bhatt and was taken aback by his
Views of the reality of human lives and beliefs and speaking so directly without sugarcoating anything which may seem harsh and intense but he is being true to himself and not afraid to share what may be an unpopular concept but shatters illusions of our delusions when it comes to the truth about marriage and religion and our mortality the so called gurus who cannot provide anything but words to the millions seeking answers while making themselves rich.
The ulimate blunt truth hurts! So we seek comfort in our delusions!
