My BL22 had a very strong main spring so I installed the "shotgun Boogie" kit. I'm glad I'm not the only one who had an expletive-laden experience. But the hammer spring is much too weak and creates a lot of light strike failures. It was really nice 'til I got to the range so I've re-installed the stock hammer spring and am looking for solutions; like maybe trying a small spacer along with the weak spring to boost it a bit but not to the extent of stock spring. Possibly a different spring altogether would be best. Did you replace yours? Aside from that I think mine will be up for sale in the not-too distant future. Good video, by the way.
Ultimately, this one ended up being fixed with a new firing pin. It had too much vertical movement in the channel, causing it to hit the rim only about 60% of the time. A new firing pin filled the whole channel and let it strike 100% of the time. Feel free to check out the companion to this video where I compare it to a Henry.
Beautiful video. I have a rifle like this and at first I was annoyed by the hard trigger, but after I changed all the springs I love it.
