  • Cardboard Shredder - using my Yardbeast 2090 wood chipper/shredder to shred cardboard for worm bedding and compost.

    Thanks for uploading this. I was looking for info on how well cardboard cab be processed with these machines.

      Sure thing. The flail hammers in the shredder do a good job

    thanks for the video, would definitely need to look in to modifying the entry if it was only for cardboard, I'm looking for a solution for the ridiculously small weekly recycling cart our town has recently imposed, i think i could fit a lot more in it if it were shredded and a wood chipper/shredder seems to do the job just fine.

    Looks like allot of tearing/hand work to be a beast? I noticed instead of pushing the square long box in like a limb, you hand tore into small pieces?

      Thanks for the comment. The shredder jerks material in very rapidly and I've not tried larger chunks. I need to try larger material on the chipper side at some point.

      Needed something to do with all of our Amazon boxes! They work great in the compost pile.

      @@thelees-livinginhislight Great! It composted well and the earthworms took over. The chickens are now working on it. It'll soon be ready for the garden!
